Also I got a Mew from one of my first two cooking pots on special. The other was a Mewtwo. These were also my time ever cooking the legendary dish. I haven't cooked with the gold cooking pot.
I've been struggling getting a good staryu. I barely ever get a staryu from the water recipe and when I finally get one it isn't good. I have a lot of psyducks tho
I don´t know if I´m just lucky or play way too mutch but I have 300 mystical shells. My Switch says I have played 85 hours so It isn´t too much I think. How much have you played? Btw. I got a shiny Mewto and Moltres ;)

Cooking legendaries in Gold Pots is a bit of a gamble since you use a ton of resources, but I've gotten some pretty good results so far: 1045/1239 Bulk Up Mewtwo, 1050/1237 Psycho Cut Mewtwo, 990/1186 un-optimal Mewtwo but came with Psychic, and two near-perfect Zapdos with Thunder. Still waiting on that Gold Pot Mew though.
just got my first legendary and i cooked a silver with 30 shells cause the recipe sight said increase odds for mewtwo with x2 shells. worked. got my mewtwo. its now a bulk up mewtwo cause i couldnt get a different move lol. should i cook gold next? 1 or 2 shells worth?

Great video verlisify! Also the button that you accidentally pressed that drops all stat stones from your Pokemon is something that I've had issues with too. I wish that when that button is hit, it would ask "are you sure you want to start arranging this pokemon's stats all over?" That seriously needs to be added with an update. I HATE that stupid button! It's really a nightmare anytime the button is pressed accidentally. At least I've gotten better at avoiding it, though. Despite this, i love this game!!

Verlis if u get a chance take a look at exeggutor with bullet seed. Might have speedrunning value because it can clear waves very well if it has a whack-whack stone, broadburst stone, and scattershot stone.
Mew and Mewtwo are more common in the special recipe, but mew is unobtainable in any rank below special with a 4.6% chance with special, 54% Mewtwo and 14% for all legendary birds.

Try using either machamp with bulk up and 3 sharing stones, or for late game try mewtwo with bulk up and 3 sharing stones and mewtwo's bingo bonus 'wait for standard attacks down 50%' and for the final battle in happenstance island i really recommend having as much resistance to status conditions. Also you will need enough hit healing in all of the levels after the part when hit healing was made available. I also super strongly recommend getting as much of the dlc as possible or all of the dlc. Good luck with the game, and have fun!

When you change the mewtwo i recommend getting more resists even at cost of recover time, obviously max hit healing and some crit works fine
