Both were the lead singers of each band, and both bands were well-known at the time. So, some guy wanted to form a punk "supergroup" for the last show of some radio program. So, he took various members from the more popular Icelandic punk bands, and that's where Björk and Einar met.

If you go on Bjork's website, under the Lyrics section, you can find more accurate listings than those in the liner notes. Trust me, I got messed up trying to translate, too.
