1973 on #mymusicalroadto50 The Simon Park Orchestra - Eye Level. Released in ‘72 but hitting the chart in ‘73. Now this was definitely music I remember. It must have been played constantly on the airwaves. It came from a TV show ‘Van Der Valk’ which was a detective show. I also remember the actor from it too. Whether that means I was up late taking it it I’m not sure but I distinctly remember it all.
Got this one, too. Played it loud. Love the crescendos it builds to. Van der Valk was a Dutch tv series. Record says it was released in 1972 but not necessarily when it was a hit. My version is a bit different. More oomph. Maybe your version is mono?
Just caught me, Meredyth. Finishing my little tot of scotch single malt, then it's bed time for me. (Gone half past midnight here!) Glad you found this one. It's a while back since I posted it.
@@xenamerry Not sure if you're from the UK or not Meredyth but if you are they are showing some reruns of the original Van der Valk on Freeview Channel 82 (Talking Pictures TV) Tuesday nights at 9.05pm. Wonderful, enjoy & take care.

In certain profiles, yes he does.

Van der Valk was a British made TV series by Thames Television for the British viewers. Not Dutch. It was just filmed in Amsterdam.
@@a.c.1474 Thank you for that information.

I'm in Australia and I never saw the series. It's just some misinformation I read.
