Great video Kev. That's a nice lightweight set up you've got there. You did well filming while keeping the dogs entertained & fed at same time. ATB Derek
Cracking rucksack that Kev, had mine yonks, the mesh is full of war wounds like but still does a job. Can’t go wrong with a speedster. Some grand kit there, loved the wee furrys, they stole the show 😂. Cheers fella, Dave
Nice one Kev, it's always good to have a perv in someone else's big handbag 😁 It's a great pack though, had mine a few years and it's tatty as owt but still does the job. Speedster is a great cook system, light as owt. Nice wee doggies as well, and not forgetting the cat :)
Kevin, Osprey bags are pretty cool, though have the same issue with the mesh pockets starting to go on mine and likewise will probably keep using until it falls apart😊Might give that Decathlon pillow a go as have always struggled to get the pillow right👍 A light pack with room still in the bag makes all the difference and it definitely does take time to whittle it down 👍 That garden looks like a super playground for your well cared for animals😺🐶😊
A really nice and informative video Kev. I have a similar setup to you and love the exos 48. I'll upgrade to the pipedream when my old Army sleeping bag gives in 😎 The only addition I would suggest carrying is a bivvy bag. Even if the tent packs in you'll be able to keep your sleeping system dry and if there is a natural shelter you can just jump into the bivvy with minimal setup. I might try out the speedster stove but I just love how fast the jetboil is.
Cheers Dave. Might look into getting one. If they go cheap 😉. I used to take an old mountain warehouse bivy, but used to sweat buckets in it. Aye speedsters ain't as fast as a jetboil 😉
Brilliant Kev 😍..Cracking Vlog👍..What an excellent weight you’ve got your backpack down to👍👌🏻..I defo need to get mine down even more 😂..Enjoyed that buddy . Cheers Robert
Good stuff Kev, its alaways good to see what others take. The Skytec gloves you are using, I can get you a couple of pairs of them we use them offshore..Nice we dogs and i see Gracie made an appearance in the video lol...nice one Kev ..cheers Stevie
Great video, I’m defo going to have a look at those stoves. I’m fed up of having half empty gas canisters lying about the house. Oh and it was nice to see you had included your map and compass, hardly ever see anyone include this in their load outs. Keep the vids coming, really enjoy them. 👍
Cheers Stewart. I defo recommend speedster stoves. Takes a while to boil, but who needs quick water when your chilling oot at camp. A bottle of bio ethanol fuel from B&Q lasts me ages too.
Looks like you’re set to go! I don’t backpack as much as I’d like to- we still have a pocket rocket and use a fuel canister- I know what you mean about not really knowing for sure how much fuel is left… I’ve often bought a new one to be sure I have enough, and so I have a lot of partially used canisters- lol. Your dogs and cat are adorable! 😁👍👍❤️
Wow.... Scottish birds are loud! Nice gear, Kevin. I always thought the stove was interesting. I see Stripey Hat Guy has an insulated envelope to keep ramen or dehydrated food warm while it cooks.
Nice one Kev. Really Interesting this. So much stuff for so little weight. Eye opening really. When I think of the rubbish I used to take😃 Love your dogs and love the fact that the Cat is boss!! We had two German Shepherds and the Cat was ultimate boss!! Have a good week mate
Nice to see what kit you take really good cos I am a nutty I either take too much or too little lol fantastic mate keep videos coming I am not up north until September when I have a pass from my wife rum is on my trip second time as we didn’t do all of the ridge first time cheers kev

@@Kev_Russ I did do one, must be two years ago (when my bag weighed about 23 tonnes 🤣) your right the new slimed down load out would be a good film. Your rig is very efficient Kev I liked it especially the pack (so light for a big pack ) ATB 🤠👍
The dogs and cat stole the show there mind ❤😂. Great kit. Love to see what other folk take out in their packs for camps. I'm so tempted to get a speedster but don't know what to get 😅. Thanks for sharing. Hi to the animals 😊
Who does the garden, Kev? It's gorgeous - as are your wee doggies there, though you're needing to train them to find all your lost gloves and sunglasses... I mean, you know everybody'll be pestering you to see them again, don't you?
Haha keep breaking them 😁 Cheers Paul. Aye great wee dogs. Me & the other half are kept busy When we moved in, it was like a jungle. I took down most trees n scrub. She does most of the planting, has the vision for where stuff goes. And was obsessed with the garden centres 😉
You've got quite a menagerie there Kev and they're obviously very happy in their forever home 🤗It's clear that you're over in the east - no mention of midge repellants! In fact when you showed the Lidl bag you put your snacks in, I automatically thought midge net 🤣
Brilliant kev. I'm a nosey barsteward 😅and love these vids to see what others take on the mountains. Great set up mate, I might do the same before the weekend trip. 👍
@Kev_Russ no mate I don't think I'll go back this season, I'm heading for the cairngorms and hopefully taking on the Braeriach traverse weather permitting.
Nice one Kev - you are pretty much covered with that set-up - I need to fire one of these vids together too, problem being I have multiples of everything too. I can tell you my hat drawer weighs about 4KG - 15 hats and 1 head...🤠👍👍
Good stuff Kev. 👍 The look on the dogs face when the cat got fed first was priceless 😅 Your set-up is much the same as mine. I've switched to a spirit burner over a gas stove, as I prefer the peace and quiet. I still refuse to buy these £10 freeze dried branded meals (tight arse I know) but Pasta N Sauce with some tuna mixed in comes at a fraction of the cost. I'm toying with one of those emergency GPS beacon devices, but I'm still on the fence. There's nothing I've seen that could be considered cheap, though the Zoleo isn't too bad.
Cheers Dave. Haha aye they are always like that. Where is ma treat 😁 Aye, am the same. Never been one for expensive meals. Pasta n sauce with extra pasta does the job for me. Thought about those emergency beacons. Dunno if I can part with money every month tho. 🤔
@@Kev_Russ It's a big investment for something that's unlikely to get used. I struggle to get gear that I actually need past my wife these days 😄 "How many pairs of boots do you need?". I've given up trying to give her an answer that I believe makes good sense 😁
