A little explanation as to why Newt actually got infected: Later on in the movie, Ava Paige (head doctor, blonde woman) says that the virus has gone airborne. In the tunnel is where he probably got infected as he was shown holding his arm and told Thomas "my hand", which is where the virus is shown to be in the scene Newt reveals it. Also, my favorite character is Chuck. I know he died in the first movie, but I loved him a lot. Wish he had more screentime and hopefully has more scenes in the books when I get them. Thank you so much for making this last reaction in the series! I love your energy and you've been one of the only movie/show reactors I've been interested in recently. I think the reason why a lot of people don't like the last movie is because it might be not as book accurate as the last two. I know a lot of the scenes were changed, especially Newt's death. So, most book readers didn't like the movie. Edit: A little fun fact about the movie that you guys might not have noticed! When they go back to the safe haven after Newt dies and Minho gives Thomas the letter, he's wearing Newt's jacket!

Honestly, this one is my favorite of the series. I love this movie as cliche as it is. I think the action and directing of this one is probably one of the best in the trilogy. Yes it has all the plot armor for the characters and such like that to expect. But i think its a perfect ending to a trilogy that started from a maze and ended with hope. I think its definitely my favorite YA movie series. And also broke the trend of splitting a movie into two parts. After a while, that got old. So yeah, props for thie actually being a trilogy!
I don’t know if it’s been said already but this was shot in Cape Town South Africa! Where they find Terresa is our train station. Where the kids were held and experimented on is the CTICC (Cape Town International Convention Centre) it’s crazy seeing it because I’ve walked through there. There are a few other places I spotted from Cape Town CBD, they just made it too futuristic so it’s a “you blink you miss it” situation. I was very happy watching this for the first time!

Dude I swear they changed the plot of this movie so from the book that the actual good plot beats like Newt’s Death and Teresa’s Sacrifice don’t even hit like they’re supposed to bc the movie is 90% action sequences and 10% plot because they altered the original plot so much that the movie has absolutely nothing to do the entire runtime, but at least the action scenes are well done and there’s some pretty shots

But Chuck, Newt, and Brenda would be my top 3. So, in the book, the reason why Teresa wasn't "harvested" is because she sided with them but at one point was controlled by WCKD and she had mixed feelings between WCKD and Thomas. She also dies in the books and her and Thomas never kissed, they agreed to be friends and ended up being crushed by parts of a wall or ceiling coming down and Thomas ends up with Brenda, at least that'swhat i take from the book ending. Newt never got bit, his brain and body didn't evolve to make the enzyme, making him non-immune. Page 250 will always hurt no matter if I'm reading the book or watching the movie 😭
It's been a month however- When you see Newt with the virus it's because at the compound in the 2nd movie, along with the vitamins he was injected with the flare was in there too. I'm pretty sure it said somewhere that humans made the virus, hence: WCKD injecting the 'immunes' with the virus to see who'll make the best 'cure'. That's my assumptions of what I know so I'm not 100% sure, only 90% sure. Hope this helps :D
My bff and I were cheering in the cinema when Teresa died lmao if I remember correctly, the book did it better. But I was glad that they didn't just change the plot and kept her alive for romance reason.The death in the movie was kinda unnecessary though, not sure why they changed it that much
