I teach in a college and I often make mistakes on the board in front of the class. I have found that if I own up to my errors, the students are a lot more understanding than they would be if I said, "Just did that to make sure you were watching!" You did a great job of using your error to make us feel comfortable. I look forward to Wednesdays!

Jill - so glad that you kept the blooper in this video, your puzzled look was so cute! My husband asked me why I was chuckling and I told him, "she's my favorite teacher." Looking forward to more tutorials, thank you!

Shakura T LOL! I thought about editing it out, and then decided y'all would love giggling at me. I was right! We all goof up sometimes, and I think it's important to know that even the "experts" do it!

Jill I have to say you are the 'Bead Whisperer' I actually got this and am working on my own project. Your video is fantastic. Thanks for not removing the mistake you made because that made me more attentive to my beading. If an expert can make a boo-boo I learned more about keeping track.

I'm just starting out on beading and have been watching and trying out some of the things you've put on video, with really good results. Really looking forward to doing this, and want to say thank you for great videos.

Thank you for sharing such beautiful projects, and techniques. I eagerly await for your videos...to learn something new. I have yet to do any netting, but do look forward to it. The perspectives you share are so valuable. Oh, I just ordered some Czech O beads from your site. For what seems a while I have been wanting to get my hands on some of these. I can't wait....feel like a kid. Thanks, again, Jill. Have a wonderful day!!

I like the picot edge on the example you showed in the beginning. It looks like you could make a really pretty choker using the vertical stitch.

I always have difficulty in the first couple rows of netting, thanks for explaining it
    clearly.

Oh, Jill. I love you, and I love all your videos, and your beaded ropes book which I have, and also the kumi video. But that green background is overwhelming.

    • @JillWisemanDesigns
      @JillWisemanDesigns  10 лет назад +1

MetalGrannie I know!! It's only temporary though. We film in front of a green screen so I we can put any background behind me. But that day I made the mistake of wearing a green top, so if they put the background behind me, I'd become a floating head and hands! Sigh. There are a few more videos that we filmed that day coming up, but then we'll be back to a pleasing background.

Love this netting , uses so many beads though . I have used Swarovski crystals' on the cross over and I've already nearly used 40 and I have only done a small bit.

Jill, thank you again for such a fun looking project. How would you use this as a beginner? I see making a flat vertical netting and be moving along and then say? how do you end it? and do you use this as a necklace or a bracelet? where would you put the toggles for bracelets or a clasp for a necklace? would you mind very much doing a video on how to finish up a small project with Flat vertical Netting? thanks a bunch and again, you rock!

Jill you are my go to person for beading techniques, Thanks so much! How do I keep my rows from twisting so that they are aligned properly with this stitch?:

I totally got this one right away too. You have no idea the beauties I have made with your vids. It's because you are a great teacher! I do wonder at how to put a closure on this one. I have some tricks I use for wider bands so I can use one closure, usually great magnets. I'd just like to know what you would do. TYVM for sharing your talent!

Can you do a video on making a vertical beaded bracelet using stretchy thread. The bracelet doesn't need a clasp on the end. It's continous, finishing into the other end.

I appreciate all your teaching videos. I also like the music that starts the video, can you tell me what that song is? Its rolling over and over in my head. Awhile back I did a search for netting videos and couldn't find any now I see there are 3 or so on YT. Thanks again for your teaching expertise.

Cynthia Jones I'm glad you like it!! I'm afraid it's just a snippet that someone composed for the RUclips music library that we all have access to for our video productions. My producer picked it out - he did a great job!

Can you do a three bead tutorial please Jill? I’m just a bit confused about the turnarounds for the three bead. Additionally, I heard the direction of the thread changes each segment, is that so? Another thing I’d love to see, is a tutorial where ropes/chokers sort of hold their form, I think by wire inside so they can hug the neck/you can re-shape them slightly. I can email you a picture if you’re not sure what I mean. 🙏 Thanks immensely from here in England, UK. Your style, tone and concision is a breeze and blessing to the beading community. Kind regards, Sheila. @jillwiseman @jill wiseman designs #jillwiseman #jillwisemandesigns

I don't see any difference in the outcome of the demo pieces between vertical and horizontal netting. (Just watched your horizontal tutorial.) Am I missing something? I'm assuming it matters when following a much more complicated pattern/project, right?

Jill, how do you change either vertical or horizontal netting so that you have only two open diamonds instead of three or four open diamond shapes ?????

I wonder why the green screen, but not using it? Are the topp Jill's wearing to green, so the result on screen would be a floating head & 2 floating arms but nothing more of Jill visible?? 😝 I eoild love that tutorial even more than this one xD

It was a temporary thing while my producer was setting up using the green screen.
