Your point about allowing the foods you crave into your life is so so important- a definitive point in my ED recovery was being able to have my “fear”foods in my fridge without guilt or panic that I would binge eat them. That and being able to receive food based gifts like boxes of chocolates etc without immediately giving them away to someone else…the focus on adding in nutrition instead of subtracting is also key. I find for me also during moments of intense cravings I find a ten minute meditation to ground my thoughts is useful- particularly if I feel the craving is emotionally related- either that or a quick call with a friend often helps me ground any intense feelings in general.
Thanks for a helpful video, Lucie ! I’m curious to hear your thoughts around my perennial issue ; salty food at parties or things like chips/salsa at Mexican restaurants. I’m a pretty health eater already. I already follow a “French” diet by eating healthy, balanced meals, and not depriving myself. I have that cookie when I want it and listen to my body for hunger cues. BUT when I’m at an event where there is an endless supply of salty finger food, I can’t stop myself. I’ll eat the whole bag. Not even pre-portioning helps. I’ll just go back for more and more. I recognize as I’m writing this that perhaps the food is serving as a crutch in social situations, but what can I do? I’m sick of feeling disgusting from what I do, but I can’t find tips for how to stop. I’m not a generalized over-eater, so it’s hard to find resources online that speak to my issue. I feel like I’m fixated on the food in that moment. Maybe this a deeper issue than what you can speak to. In any case, do you have a video that discusses this ? Or is this something you could make a video about ? Thank you !
I have a question and have not been able to find an answer. With intuitive eating after dinner and a full feeling can I have dessert or should I eat less at dinner in order to have dessert?
I guess you can have the dessert anyway, but you'll probably feel better if you finish eating your main course a little bit before you are completely full, and then wrap it up with a dessert. Well, that's what I find it the most comfortable for me. I think you should experiment and figure out what feels the best, having no rules. And, of course, it's no tragedy even if you overeat on the occasional dinner
So many underestimate the power of herbs and spices. Flavor can be satisfying as well.
I absolutely agree!!
and you can spare a lot of calories with them by cutting on fat

Yes I absolutely agree, and thanks for the great meditation/call tip!
Your tip to combine a craved food with a healthy one is perfect! A cookie plus a handful of nuts is so much more satisfying than two cookies.😂
It really is!! Glad this helped☺
Thanks for the great tips. I find I try to make conscious healthy decisions. If I don't buy junk food I don't eat it. I choose a healthier solution.😊
Glad you enjoyed the tips!
Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
Great video!!
