We call it the “ Just Us system “ because the only people who seem to get any justice are people who can afford the expensive attorneys and have prominent families. Sadly my family had its own horrible experience with the just us system and it was in a very large city and my grandfather went to prison and he was innocent of the crime he was accused of. The injustice they did to these three teenagers for 18 years. The justice system was unjust and sloppy. The Judge Burnett, that Fogelman guy, that prosecutor, the court there who didn't accept the testimony of the whereabouts of these 3 teenagers when the crimes were committed, the bias is shocking!-- I hope they don't advance with their political careers! And that cop who suggested Echols to be a suspect! So infuriating. While the real killer is out there living his life. These three should be cleared of this crime. It's an injustice to them and the murdered children. This case has taken not just 3 lives, but 6.

It was darker than that. It was a corrupt department involved in drugs, money laundering, bribes...you name it. They were terrified of the SBI or FBI coming in a pulling back the curtain.

Since the State messed up, maybe the State should pay to have the DNA tested. I think that is fair. Also, when these 3 boys are fully cleared of any wrongdoing. I feel they should be compensated.
The problem with compensating them is their has never been enough money printed. Where are those who sat on the jury today? Where is the prosecutor ? Do any of those people feel any remorse? Where is the judge, who sentenced them ? Everyone of those people should be brought forth and asked if they would like to plead for mercy. Because of the damages they have caused.
The state of Arkansas ruled that because none of the 3 are still locked up prison they don't have a right to test any of the evidence. The Arkansas Supreme Court just ruled about a month ago that the state court was wrong and based on recent reports it seems granted the motion for testing. I don't know if they have a certain amount of time to turn over the evidence or anything like that. If the state truly believed the 3 convicted were the killers they wouldn't be fighting this hard against the testing and they wouldn't be hiding evidence.
One popular theory is Hobbs and 4 other guys were in the woods drinking and doing drugs when the boys came up on them. And the boys were "punished." It's so crazy and sad justice will probably never be served. One of the 5 guys confessed this and nothing has been done.

Again the State court ruled against them sited bogus reasoning and it took 2 years for the Supreme Court to give a fair ruling. A month ago the Supreme Court ruled the state court was wrong and granted the testing. The bigger issue is that the state controls the evidence and they do not want it tested. 5 months ago The Arkansas Supreme Court ruled in favor of testing now we just have to wait until the smaller court in West Memphis decides when they will do it.

The Medical Examiner determined that the boys had not been s*****l assaulted not because there was no semen found, but there were no rips or tears found in the anus cavity of any of the boys

I actually read that BS on the official state website. Arkansas “Official website” had the evidence listed as “lost in a fire”. Less than two months later I heard MSM announce “all the evidence was found in tact.” Arkansas is not normal IMO.

The Supreme Court of Arkansas ruled that the state court was wrong a month ago and granted the request for DNA testing but it still hasn't been done. No they didn't. It was collected but the officer who collected it admitted under oath in court that he "misplaced it" there is no evidence from Bojangles.
JMB is still suspect. He is unaccounted for from 4 o’clock after dropping Ryan Clark off @ court until 5 o’clock when he picked up Melissa. However additionally the only way he is a possible suspect is if Melissa lied and she really didn’t see Christopher at 5:30 on the car port. Now Terry is to me the most obvious suspect. He was in the woods between 6-6:30 and mentioned seeing the Byers entire family drive the service road in their station wagon at this time. The very strange things about this? He didn’t know who JMB WAS UNTIL MEETING HIM FOR THE FIRST TIME APPROXIMATELY 8 THAT NIGHT! He must have been really aware to his surroundings in the woods! Also those boys were biking for hours and just removing the laces from the shoes greatly reduce the odds of secondary transfer. Secondary transfer is possible but not probable. Hopefully the M-Vac testing will be allowed and discover something. Until then everyone is still suspect.

Damien, Jason, and Jessie have already agreed to pay out of their own pockets for the testing. It hasn't been done because the state won't turn over the evidence for testing. They filed asking a judge to grant the testing and she ruled since they are not still in prison they don't have a right to have the testing done. It went to the Supreme Court of Arkansas and they ruled the state court was wrong and granted the motion for testing. That was a month or so ago and the state still hasn't turned over the evidence for testing. My question is why? What is the state hiding?
They'll drag it out for publicity and grifting for another 10-years. They have been released on an Alford plea, which is not an exoneration as many like to imply. They can't go back to prison, so even if the DNA proves it was them, there is no legal consequence to them.

I think it was some random person and totally opportunistic. The woods are right behind an interstate truck stop, any random sicko could have walked in the woods at the wrong time and found the boys playing. That is was happened to Adam, the first major missing child case of the 80s. He was kicked out of a department store because the security guard thought he was with a group of kids that were arguing over a video game. When he got out front and was left alone, a child killer happened to be driving by and took him. Just wrong place wrong time with a random psycho passing by during that minute. That's what I think this is. Yes, I acknowledge the fathers of the boys were acting suspicious, especially Hobbs. He became a suspect too. Damian is NOT currently a defendant in a murder case. The judge denied Damian’s request citing that he wasn’t incarcerated therefore had no reason. Damian’s legal team filed an appeal to allow additional DNA testing even though Damian isn’t incarcerated.
The state doesn't want to have to admit any wrong doing. Falsely prematurely accusing someone of such a horrible crime only took away from those 3 little boys the victims. Imo the stare is just as guilty as the real killer. They have the DNA perfectly intact an with today's technology could absolutely put this tragedy to rest by testing it an findings the real murder. It shouldn't even be a court proceedings to test it. It should just be a given let's do this let's find the person who really did this BUT then that would mean the DA would have to admit they were wrong and the police as well as that God damn judge that denied everything that could have proved the three were innocent 18 years ago. Nope. Sadly with the Alford plea, there is a clause that you cannot sue the state for a wrongful conviction since you’re technically admitting guilt.

The state of Arkansas ruled that because none of the 3 are still locked up prison they don't have a right to test any of the evidence. The Arkansas Supreme Court just ruled about a month ago that the state court was wrong and based on recent reports it seems granted the motion for testing. I don't know if they have a certain amount of time to turn over the evidence or anything like that. If the state truly believed the 3 convicted were the killers they wouldn't be fighting this hard against the testing and they wouldn't be hiding evidence.

JMB is still suspect. He is unaccounted for from 4 o’clock after dropping Ryan Clark off @ court until 5 o’clock when he picked up Melissa. However additionally the only way he is a possible suspect is if Melissa lied and she really didn’t see Christopher at 5:30 on the car port.
Now Terry is to me the most obvious suspect. He was in the woods between 6-6:30 and mentioned seeing the Byers entire family drive the service road in their station wagon at this time. The very strange things about this? He didn’t know who JMB WAS UNTIL MEETING HIM FOR THE FIRST TIME APPROXIMATELY 8 THAT NIGHT! He must have been really aware to his surroundings in the woods! Also those boys were biking for hours and just removing the laces from the shoes greatly reduce the odds of secondary transfer. Secondary transfer is possible but not probable.
Hopefully the M-Vac testing will be allowed and discover something. Until then everyone is still suspect.

The woods are right behind an interstate truck stop, any random sicko could have walked in the woods at the wrong time and found the boys playing. Once the cops zeroed in on Echols and friends they didn't pursue any other leads and didn't interview the parents until years later!! The state didn't care about them because they were poor and didn't have proper legal representation. They threw those kids in prison to rot then got angry when celebrities like Johnny Depp helped them get out of prison. The state of Arkansas used that "legal loophole" make them plead quilty guilty so they wouldn't be liable for their incarceration. Arkansas should have had to pay restitution to the guys, millions of dollars, but to get out of prison they had to take that raw deal!! I live in Mississippi so I know how backwards the south can be!!

Just watched the documentary from 2018 & so happy to see they got what they need. Never believed these teens killed the boys. As far as I can see, it's Terry Hobbs, the stepfather. He wasn't even properly interrogated at the time or since.

The judge denied Damian’s request citing that he wasn’t incarcerated therefore had no reason.
Damian’s legal team filed an appeal to allow additional DNA testing even though Damian isn’t incarcerated.

The state doesn't want to have to admit any wrong doing. Falsely prematurely accusing someone of such a horrible crime only took away from those 3 little boys the victims. Imo the stare is just as guilty as the real killer. They have the DNA perfectly intact an with today's technology could absolutely put this tragedy to rest by testing it an findings the real murder. It shouldn't even be a court proceedings to test it. It should just be a given let's do this let's find the person who really did this BUT then that would mean the DA would have to admit they were wrong and the police as well as that God damn judge that denied everything that could have proved the three were innocent 18 years ago. They can't do that. Instead they'd rather let a real killer walk free. SMH that's what they call justice.
