The E cap is one of the most mystifying things the FIG has done. Seems like they'd encourage flying back and forth between the bars. We have an event when the gymnast just works the high bar, and it's called men's high bar. For me, the bar transitions are the most exciting part of the uneven bars. At this point, who knows what Suni will come up with. Sometimes I feel like she's learning pretty much every release in the COP. Kinda random. For such a great bars worker, it's odd she doesn't seem to like stalder skills. The Seitz is worth far more than it's given. Not sure I'd encourage any gymnast to do it.
Yeah I don't think the Seitz is smart for routine composition, the extra base value it brings to a routine compared to a Maloney is just going to be immediately eaten up by deductions for incomplete turn and grip adjustment (trying to do it without mixed grip catch is just going to lead to other form errors). It's more risk for nothing.
@@ZuranthiumIncomplete turn is not a deduction on bars. And the judges cannot deduct for “grip adjustment” for a an element THEY defined as mixed grip.
@@tambam6744 Incomplete turn is a deduction on bars. People get hit with it all the time on Shaposh 1/2's, Giengers, and the "1/2 turning" Tkatchevs. The Seitz is not defined as a mixed grip, it's supposed to catch like a Maloney. Catching in mixed grip is something people do to make the skill easier.
@@Zuranthium Could you link the source? And tell me where exactly that is? And the mixed grip is acceptable for the Seitz as Mustafina completed the skill in that fashion back at 2013 Worlds. No new restrictions regarding full-twisting shap skills has come up and changed that.
Am I seeing things or is the dismount in this vid only a Full Twisting Double? Also she is a very promising bars worker but I feel sometimes her execution isn’t at the standard of her competitors. Hopefully she is working on that too so she can challenge for medals at worlds
Shaposh is often used as a general term for this type of skill no matter the root of the skill. (Just like you will sometimes hear a Ricna be called a Stalder Tkatchev)
Technically yes, a Shaposh is only from a clear hip, so you are right. But most commentators call it a Shaposh when it’s really a Maloney (which annoys me lolz)
This is such a cool combo. Although it’s risky bc you would have to go straight from the Seitz into the Bhardawaj to avoid an empty swing deduction (unless the Seitz is exempt, which I don’t think it is)

Most of them are probably capable of at least 7.0, Wei for example I wish they would have her learn a Bhardwaj and Double Front 1/2 dismount. Doing an E pirouette + Double Front 1/2 is something the Chinese team should be trying to normalize to build up the difficulty score.

The FIG is the stupidest governing body in any elite sport, without equal.

Yes the dismount is only a Single twist in the video, I'm not sure if this person has info about her training the Double but not a video of it.
Yes you are definitely right!!
Wouldn’t the seitz be considered a Maloney full and not a Shaposh full? Other than that I am excited to see the difficulty being used! ❤
