Hi, I really liked this video! It is so nice how you try to spin a story around your finds! Most of them are credible, some a bit fanciful, but always very entertaining! I think you have found your first piece of a fibula! Congrats! The little dog was cool. The ring with the green gem was also really nice. Nice footage from the surroundings! Did Brian find something nice as well? Or does he have his own channel? Thanks for sharing your adventure with us! Cheers, David
Nice well put together vid Michael but that’s not an annular buckle I am sorry…. I think they are much more cylindrical cross sectionally … it’s old I have no doubt but if anything is probably a bit of bridal or practical hoop im afraid I think that is….! But what do I know! Hope all well
In all fairness Alex you have probably found enough of them to know and I am always willing to be proved wrong in my quest for knowledge. Allot Of those hoops just in up in the bin for me which is a shame as I’m sure they had a very good use at one point in history. Thanks for the comment buddy, always appreciated 👍👍
the stone in your possibly victorian ring is an emerald. They have the distinct look of being slightly cloudy and greasy looking. The cut of the stone looks almost like an old mine cut. Let me know if you find out what the age is.... thanks. I really enjoy your videos and thanks for taking all of us along on your adventures.
Great video as ever Michael, and I think we can say a huge congrats on your first fibula find too!!... Quite envious here actually - and it's a standing joke with my FLO that I keep turning up with strange/long objects which I then desperately try and 'pass off' as fibulas... 😅🤣 I've even got a *New* one too - best ever! but alas, doesn't really have 'the curve' like your one does... Ah well... 🤣 Anyways, thanks as ever - and a great job on the sound too my friend!... 😉 Cheers, Bobby 🐭
A nice great video again!

Thank you David, my imagination can sometimes run away with itself but I do like to ponder its path to the field. ATB my friend 👍👍

more likely a peridot, as it is in a bronze ring. if so it would have tiny black dots internally, you would see them with a loupe, regards
