I love this! I'm new to linux here and I've been doing the open terminal here and opening R2mods with the no sandbox command for every time I wanted to play with mods. This helps me so much man, thanks! :D
Thank you! The tip about having r2modman in game mode is great because I like to tinker with new mods all the time and I don't have to go in desktop mode anymore

Thanks to you, I played multiplayer with mods on Steam Deck
I honestly forgot that symbolic linking was so easy on KDE Plasma and that made me do a double take, I'm used to it being a pain in the ass on Windows and even certain other linux desktop environments.
I absolutely hate doing the launch commands for no good reason, so I just didn't mod ror2 of my deck, but now I can launch r2 in game mode I'm all in.

All correct only problem is that o use the app to open appimages in game mode it says I require Fuse
Any error I committed or I just have to also install that?

Yes this tutorial was made before Gearbox added their secret sauce to RoR2, somehow breaking the fucking base game.
The instructions work, I was able to get modman and let it open ror2 on gaming mode, but it never opens up with the mods, only just ror2. What went wrong?
You're selecting the option to launch modded games right?

It makes me select a profile before I can actually play ror2, I redone all the steps and restarted, but nothing works, r2modman still says it's opening modded ror2, but then when the game opens, there's no mods. Even though everything seems to be working alright.
I've never played risk of rain 1 does it matter in any way to get into 2 ?
I see 2 is quite different looking
There are some references to the first game in RoR2 and while there are some story beats, the story isn't TOO terribly important.
You can jump straight into RoR2 without any experience with the first.
If you dint really want to play ror1 you could play rorr(returns) as itd way more enjoyable but as he said there's really no reason to play 1 really.
Idk. If you're smart (and made the mistake of buying the 64GB deck) your compat data might be on your SD card

If you mean that you can't find the "releases" page, k always have that problem in GitHub, is a little text to the right of the screen
