It's 2019 now, they just recently toured with I would consider titans of the genre (August Burns Red and Fit For a King) which was a huge success. The future looks great for them.

Love the way they switch up the vibe at 1:16; such an unexpected twist in what feels like a very traditional metalcore song. Massive respect to these guys not only as songwriters, but also a group of dudes that clearly love and are passionate as hell about metal 🤘

Cody Coles Dir en grey and maximum the hormone is fucking good. The gazette new album also heavy and good. Whispered is another underated melodic death metal band
Also, if you still haven't listen, try SiM. Their combination of reggae and metalcore is kind of interesting.
