29:58 I had my baby at 4.35am on Thursday and they sent me home Friday afternoon. I’d had no sleep for a week (slow labour) and had been in active labour with a ten pound baby from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning. I was shell shocked when they sent me home - no support, a partner who thought it all my responsibility and even my mother said, upon a sobbing call from me, “Well it sounds like you wish you hadn’t had her!” causing feelings of guilt and shame. A week later, my mother in law came to see the baby, walked in and said ‘So when are you going to give me a grandson?’ (This was her fourth granddaughter between her two kids.) I had never felt more alone.
Ugh I’ve been waiting for this! My BF and I were laughing at the poop shower - to this day (and we’ve been together three years, living together for a year and a half) I won’t use the bathroom while he’s on the same floor, and when we started dating I would go three days without going sometimes 😂
