  • What if we could hear nature's ultrasonic communication -- and talk back? From a bat's shrill speech to a peacock’s infrasound mating call, conservation technology researcher Karen Bakker takes us through a sound bath of animal noises that are far outside humanity's range of hearing, demonstrating how artificial intelligence has translated the incredible complexity of nature's soundtrack. She asks us to consider the moral weight of such transformative technology and explores the futuristic opportunities presented for conservation, interspecies communication and more.

One story I heard, Humans recorded the sounds of monkeys talking... giraffes ignored them.
Then they recorded the monkeys when a lion entered the environment.
Then that recording was playing the giraffes looked around and ran away...as if the giraffes knew the monkey word for "lion".
...so they ran away...even though no lions were near by...but the monkeys told them there was a lion, and the giraffes believed them.
Because when it comes to hungry lions, it is better to be safe than stupid.

We have a lot to learn. We once thought we were the center of the universe, the sun circled us. It was a hard humbling experience to humans.
Now to most people God made us, and only us, to his image. Accepting that we are wrong will be even harder than accepting that the stars don't care about us.

Reminds me of the second episode of Scott Z. Burns' "Extrapolations". I'm somewhat sceptical whether this hypothetical technology is really going to be implemented and if so: whether it's going to truly benefit anyone. But I guess I I keep underestimating humanity's desire to communicate with non-human species.

Every so called "scientist" that does not see that the universe is a living thing is just a mechanic. His mind can only process the obvious parts of life before his eyes.
Everything is alive. Life does not end at the other side of a cell's membrane. A city is an organism too. There is no isolated system in the universe. It's systems within systems, overlapping each other.
God is life itself. Everything in life is connected. We are part of a greater being. Religions are just different languages, they are an attempt to communicate this insight to other humans. With science getting more and more of the picture (macrocosm, microcosm), and people getting educated about it, it will be easier and easier for everyone to understand it.
For that:☮️, you have to see this:☯️
