What about the testimony of The Apostolic Tradition through the early church fathers of both east and west that affirmed the Petrine ministry? Jesus,Peter and the keys would be a good read for those interested.

Not trying to be contentious and don’t want to start a debate but the Bible didn’t just fall from heaven neatly bound in leather with chapter and verse in it. The New Testament canon was a hard fought decision by the church in council. The church existed prior to the New Testament. And really is a product of the Church’s Tradition. A Tradition by the way that we are told to hold to weather given by letter(the Bible)or orally(Apostolic Tradition). Pax Christi

There is a GIANT, no pun intended, backstory which is like a compass or spider web that ties in all the parts of the Bible/God's Plan from Genesis to Rev.22. Its mind boggling to comprehend.
...Jesus didn't take the disciples on a 100 mile hike just to ask a question or tell Peter he's got a new name. No no no...the reason is FAR higher.
For a far better and a coherent view of what Jesus is doing and WHERE He is doing it, and WHY he is doing it saying what He does,, you'll have to go to Dr Micheal S. Heiser's books and lectures 1) Unseen Realm and the real head spinner 2) Reversing Hermon the forgotten mission of Jesus Christ. You will never view the Bible shallowly and superficially again.
There's interviews and lectures aplenty on RUclips regarding the two books and their content.
