Having attempted to change the very small bulbs that are shown in this video, I can confirm it is the most infuriating and time-consuming bulb change I have attempted on any car! My advice is to fully remove the panel, which is a b*tch of a job itself. And then take to panel indoors and change the bulbs as the holders are so fiddly to get out and then back in. On my attempt, I managed to get all the power connections undone and the cables(take plenty of photos on your phone, in case u forget!) After doing all the reinstalling, my new bulb still didn't solve the problem of darkness on the left hand side of the heater panel and so this weekend I have to remove it all again AND the heat control cable has popped off. Utter cow of a job, I'd rather take the bloody engine out of the car and strip it down in the pouring rain then attempt this job again!!
UPDATE: Since discovered by process of elimination that one of the bulb holders is faulty, and they are not easy to come by. So I have ended up buying a second hand heater control panel £7 off eBay and will swap the lot out! All this to change a bulb! Argh!
@vegarstuen190 honestly the car was scrapped last year but I still have nightmares about changing that bulb and the horrors of that heater control panel 😱
Thanks for the tutorial, Is there anyone tried T5 LED light? One of bulb got broken in my car and once I open this panel, I might change all to led maybe but ı m wondering if that works well
@@djordjestojadinovic1969 to let you know, I did with normal t5 bulb eventually. because this type what I could find on market. Other LED bulbs when I read comments on the internet, either people wrote it is easily detaching or not working because of poor quality material.
I’m not saying this is the right way but if your scared to remove the wires and clips to the heaters you can face it down and get it in the plastic that it sits in and get the pliers to the light and pull it out
"and then put all the parts back" - yeah right Thanks for posting, this video has been most helpful to me. It convinced me not to attempt this repair ever.
having a french car is a pain in the ass. but this tut helped a lot. thank you
