Doraemon is a very popular anime/manga in 90's, especially in Asia. I used to watch Doraemon on TV and read the manga when I was a kid. Noby or Nobita is actually a very lazy kid hahaha.
I bought it the day it released, pretty much on a whim, and I have to say that I couldn't be happier. It is such a chill game and I love that there is so much story to it. It makes it feel like grinding with purpose, so it doesn't feel overly repetitive. And the game moves quickly too, it's not like some where you're having to chop trees and pound rocks for days on end to get the resources you need to upgrade, so I love that too.
This looks so good!! I love Doraemon 😍 Definitely downloading this. I am not a fan of SOS but this looks really good and I do like a more story based game #lovesomegoodlore

Also noted that Guillermo del Toro is also a fan of the Doraemon franchise through the Spanish dub. I personally asked him during a set visit just to confirm. Although he was more specific to be a fan of the Doraemon movies. I also confided with him in how I just can't stand Nobita. Kid never learns from his mistakes.
Holy crap FINALLY! A TO DO LIST!
I played the first game since it was on sale for $15, and I found that it was really fun as long as the story pacing was good. And it was until I’d say about 75% through when story cutscenes became more sparse because of relationship hearts progressively getting harder to raise. At that point, the cracks in the game design began to show, for me personally. Mining was tedious and unengaging. A big farm was not possible since sprinklers were late game and cost a rare resource (junk), which was mostly only available by mining. Some farm upgrades would take too many days imo, especially considering it was work days it took (aka if it said it’d take 10 days to build, it’d take that long + Pent’s days off + festival days during that time.) Gathering chickens to collect eggs was hard, and there was never any auto feeding system that came with upgrades. Sprites helping addressed some issues, but at that point I knew it was in my best interest to just wrap up the story and move on.
All this to say that the game has its charm and is worth playing, but 100%ing was not for me. Something like Spiritfarer was though. This sequel has potential, and the character designs look better than ever, but I’d have to research more about how the elements I didn’t enjoy the first time around play out now.
I'm so happy I read your comment; now I can save my junk for future purchase. I agree, there's parts that I'm like ok when am I going to get this done? For example: I have 1 sheep and 1 cow. The sheep is ill, and I keep missing the shop to get medicine. It’s been a week smh. Also, I’m running out of fodder. I’ve been grinding to get wood so I can upgrade my home. I only found out that I needed to do that, when I couldn’t complete a quest Doraemon asked me to do. It’s a nice game, and I am enjoying it, but it has its errs.
I’ll probably pick this new one up on sale.

It is very similar but there are a ton of quality of life improvements. This one is way better
I love that you made this review. Honestly a very similar overlap in audience between games. I'm sure people would enjoy it if they're missing ACNH. A lets play of this could be cool too.
I liked the first one I haven't finished it yet but definitely looking fwd to playing this one plus watching the anime taught me more about doraemon so I was more familiar with it before playing the first game
Same I haven’t finished the first one. The grinding in the mines is so tiring. I haven’t got enough for the greenhouse yet & just a few rain clouds. I’m tired of watering
I appreciate that they're doing a remake of one of my favorite Harvest Moon titles: A Wonderful Life, but I sort of wish they'd just focus on making the next great mainline Story of Seasons game. Having said that: I did enjoy the first Doraemon title and I'll be playing this one for certain (maybe after the new Pokemon games)!
The new Pokemon games are trash. Skip them.

is the stamina system better? i hated the last one where u had to buy expensive drinks to increase ur stamina by only a little bit and the better tools didnt take less stamina to use

I played the demo and I think it's a quality game but 60$ is too much, if it was 30 ai would pick it up.
I definitely love this game and absolutely prefer the PC version over the Switch version because PC has higher resolution and frame rate.

sorry if i say that, i just played the demo version and the game is even more boring than the previous one, i played for about 1 minute and i immediately hoped the demo version would be over soon

I just started playing ! So cute and fun so far.
Im not new to the story of seasons games but new to this spin off and have to say playing the demo was really fun so im going to pick this one up. You can also play it hand held on pc if you own a steam deck.

If you had to compare Hokko to this game, which do you like more?
I like both games for different reasons.. Hokko life has more customization and a bit more to do. This game has better visuals, more story, better characters. They are very close.. both getting future updates so I think it comes down to price. Hokko is 20 and this game is 50. Hope this helped 🧡

u got me noped at story heavy
i tried the demo and it is SO charming. Personally i hate the new SoS games because i think they look really bad and prefer older titles like hmds but this really changed my mind. The little cutscenes when you eat with your friends, Nobita getting dirty when you mine stuff, friends saying goodnight to you when you sleep, etc. are SOOOO amazing. I cant wait for my copy to arrive

Well you're playing as a kid- and I know kids can have 'relationships' but I feel like it'd still be pretty weird considering people of any age can play the game

Yep ; the new one . I've been playing it since yesterday morning. I'd love to see you do some playthrough . I can't figure out how to put fodder in the fodder hopper . hah... wow the days in it go fast ! It's still very engaging , some of it is like watching an anime to move the story along. I don't know if those will continue past the introductory stage. There 's a lot to learn.
BONUS ; The penny dropped on how to fill the fodder hopper .
