His voice is such an upgrade compare to his Anime version. I felt like all Yu-boy voice is aging like a fine wine compared to their anime English version
I'm so glad the Duel Links team decided to characterize him the way they did. Similar to many other officers of _certain_ historical armies that did atrocious acts, he brushes his actions off as him simply doing his job and that the people he harmed were inherently less valuable than him due to their inability to defeat him in a duel. Regardless, I think we can all agree that this portrayal of Joeri/Yuri was MUCH better than in the anime after Z-ARC's defeat.
I believe they're trying to tell us that he's indeed a changed person and doesn't have any evil intent but that doesn't stop him from being an asshole like the old days lol

Several reasons 1-His hair is purple just as his uniform, therefore being from the Fusion Dimension that makes sense why his dragon, uniform, hair, the Fusions and etc are purple, including his eyes. 2-He is probably the strongest in the Academia, therefore he is not like other kids, he won't like to look like the rest, ut instead be the top. 3-Yuri is 1 of the 4 Yu-boys, his deign should be unique 4-Villains have nice clothing style 5-As younger when he met the professor he had the same clothes, besides the jacket.
The Academy in Arc-V is not the same as the one in GX. While we do see red, yellow and blue uniforms there’s nothing to suggest that there’s any dorm system. The Obelisk force wears blue but they’re a military unit and the military uniforms don’t necessarily imply there’s dorms, we see a group with white ones. Several other high ranking officers also wear varied and different uniforms, Aster wears grey for example. I’m not sure Zorc is even purple, I think you could call him more of a blue or black. He wears purple because fusion is purple, just like how the other yu-boys wear their corresponding colours. It isn’t any deeper than that.

And so, the Yuyas and Yuzus are officially complete. Will Z-ARC and Ray both appear, too? Maybe, maybe not, but if they do it probably won't be for a long time. As for more characters being added in in the future, I'm hoping the rest of the Dark Signers from 5D's and a few more ARC-V characters like Shinji, Sergey, etc.. I think both dub voices (English and Japanese) for Yuri are great, BTW. I find it a shame the English dub voices in this game get hated on by certain people just for being associated with the Yu-Gi-Oh! English dubs done by 4Kids Entertainment, 4K Media, and Cross Konami Media NY. For the record, I don't believe the voices themselves are cringe, more likely just hampered by some of the anime dub scripts and questionable direction for the voice actors---that and the broadcast standards and practice boards. I honestly believe Duel Link's script and the likes are really good, much better than the scripts for any of the anime dubs for Yu-Gi-Oh!.
Zarc is definitely coming. You can’t have Reiji/Declan go “I’m preparing in case Zarc comes back” every time a new character shows up and just not have him appear. Ray’s certainly more uncertain though, since she has no deck.

All the Speed Duel characters that were released after SEVENS world came out are given Rush Duel voice lines as futureproofing just in case Konami allows them to play Rush Duels in the future.

I have to give Michael Liscio some credit to voicing Yuya and all 3 of his counterparts; he was able to make them sound distinct, although Yuto and Yugo sounded a bit close to each other. That being said, I think that Yuri is his weakest performance of the 4.
What i allways found weird about Duel links is that even if characters like Paradox are conscient about the different timelines... even about characters that have died on the Manga timeline like Pegasus they are still having lines for both their Anime and Manga Cards as if they were the same character, i know they do it cuz they won't add a Manga version of each character and there is a lot of Manga Exclusive Ace Cards like in this case the Venemies, but is still weird... like they are self aware of somethings but others just... no

It didn’t have a signature attack/effect name in the anime, so it doesn’t get one here. And it’s the only one of the Four Dimensional Dragons to do so. Guess Yuri just didn’t care enough to come up with a name… How tragic.

It didn’t have a signature attack/effect name in the anime, so it doesn’t get one here. And it’s the only one of the Four Dimensional Dragons to do so. Guess Yuri just didn’t care enough to come up with a name… How tragic.

@@blastthechaos6083 dude we have tons of anime & manga cards that weren't physically added to the real life game but they are in the mobile game with no issue all ready.
They stopped giving anime-only cards to characters after 5ds.
