    Hi, thank you for your explanation, I just couldn't understand why in the part "I'm allergic to isokuso" Ayra and other people who dance, make a sign with their hand squeezing the index finger and the thumb on the nose, here in my country when someone makes this sign it means that something smells bad so I didn't understand why this sign was used in this context.

    • @Simbihawt
      @Simbihawt  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey good question and yes you are correct. That hand gesture to your nose usually means something smells bad…you know how if someone with bad breath talks to you, you cover your nose because it smells bad? So Nigerians add a twist to it and do the same thing to a gossiper or bad-mouthed person (isokuso). We say that their mouth is smelling. Not from an odor/odour specifically but because poor choice of words are coming out of their mouth like the gossip, we want to block our nose from “smelling” it…I hope this helps

  • @teeed5032
    @teeed5032 23 дня назад

    Well done. Good interpretation but I think you interpreted certain part of the song without taking into context what certain words meaning in Nigeria society; "smallie wey de mighty" refers to her small stature; that she might be small in stature but she's mighty/strong. In essence what she is saying is no one should underestimate her because of her size.
    ''Dem tell me make i Show love" in Nigeria context means to be generous. Perhaps people are saying she is stingy and not a generous giver.
    "Check and balance" means she's prudent with her money.
    Enery wrong I log off = if she doesn't trust you, she is out. Maybe people trying to dub her, so she recognises it quickly and ditch the person.
    But like you said only the musician knows exactly what they are communicating.

      One lyric mentioned God. Just one.
      It is definitely an inspiring and uplifting though. But, a lot of people believe in a “god” and there’s a lyric line or two mentioning god in all types music. But, they don’t then go on to say that Jesus is their savior and how he they “worship him on bended knee.” That’s the difference.
      She is beautiful in the video for this song and it’s giving positive vibes. She sings this amazing live as well! ❤ 🔥

    Nice break down. The American Rapper FUTURE released a very popular song called COMMAS already. If her or her song writers were inspired by him they SHOULD PAY RESPECTS AND SAY SO. I hope she doesn't start getting weird and stealing other artist ideas cause I will NOT be supporting any of that low class behavior.
