  • It's my first video, so there was some experimenting with camera setup. Whole image was put together in around 67h (left/right part 32/35h respectively).

The puzzle sorter was designed and made by my husband - we wanted to have something that would look better than a heap of cardboard boxes and would fit more elements than commercially available sorters. It also became an interesting decoration in our living room :) It's a 30cm cube made of wood covered with EVA foam and it contains 9 trays which can store a little bit more than 6000 puzzle pieces in total.

That puzzle sorter is the coolest! I don’t even do many puzzles these days but if he sold that thing on Etsy, I’d buy it! I was in awe when you started pulling that thing apart in the video!

Yes, except their 40320 piece puzzle, Ravensburger usually rounds up the piece count on the box. For example their 5000 are actually 5040, 9000 are 9120, 18000 are 18240 and 32000 are 32256 piece puzzles :)

      @@JustOneMorePiece So, in a 40320 piece puzzle, there’s actually 40320?

Amazing job your husband did on the puzzle sorter

    This puzzle is so beautiful!
And btw, I preferred the camera above the puzzle in the 2nd part, because like this it's better visible how the the parts of the puzzle get finished.

Overhead shot was more enjoyable to watch but in some overhead shots, the glare made it hard to see rich colors.

A lovely jigsaw with an interesting blend of colours that works very well. Not something that I would wish to attempt, I wouldn't have the patience or the space to do it. I was intrigued by the fact that your puzzle piece holders, when all put together made a rubik cube. Something different from the usual types of trays for puzzle pieces.

Great to see this jigsaw up close. It has lots of beautiful colours in it & I saw a clear pic of the fairies & unicorns. The 1st part was great filming & I could see the both of you working on the jigsaw. I did like the 2nd part view best from above the jigsaw but then we only see your arms. I like your rubiks cube puzzle sorter trays. Never seen that one before. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Sandra, I appreciate your comment :) After some consideration we decided to use the 2nd approach in the following videos to focus more on the puzzles. I posted a separate comment about the sorter ;)

Ordered this puzzle today. At first I did not like the image, because I am not a fan of fantasy style. But when I saw the finished piece I knew I had to buy it while it is still available. Because in recent years these large puzzles seem to disappear quite quickly from the shops.

I liked the first part better, because you can see the colours much better, and I liked seeing you do the puzzle. The second part wasn't bad, but the phone seemed to focus more on the piece shapes than the colours, making it feel a bit more 'washed out' if that makes sense. Loved the timelapse and the picture is amazing! Great job on the video.

I love how people underestimate how big is 9k puzzle. Me and my gf finished our first together puzzle of 2000 pieces, and i was buffled how big it is. And now im watching this, and i just want to say: Good Job.
Btw, how long it takes, for such a big puzzle?

Come on, it's not that hard, but it's very rewarding :) If you only have enough space for them, you should give it a try and just go piece by piece in your free time, so you can clear your mind and escape from the fast-paced world :)

Imo the second part is better if you are only interested in the completion of the puzzle itself. The first part is better if you also want to see who does the puzzle and how.
