Break down the wall and make a second room, you can use the debris for an amazing entrance... Now that i think about it, that entrance would look amazing
I imagine he wills either start putting things in storage, or put older items in the hands of fans somehow. His apartment is pretty small. I want to see what he does with his bathroom, if anything.
... I'm not ashamed to admit I have a thing for bathroom fixtures. Bathroom and kitchen... I swear, when I have my own place, there will be a claw foot bath tub and no chrome to be seen, anywhere! No chrome-colored plastic either.
Wow brilliant. That’s got to be the best yet. Love the way the corners overlap the glass to give it more of an ornamental feel. Another Voltaire masterpiece.
I am totally in love with the fact that you are the Lord of the Lair and could just order any gorgeous items you need and yet, you get your DIY on and even better, you show us how to make a lair as epic as yours! Much love from England 💖🦇☠️🕸💖
I live for this show man. I’ve always wanted to start decorating in a dark/gothic style but never knew where to start without buying super expensive stuff.
Gorgeous! I've been thinking of doing something similar with our flat screen tv to help it blend in a bit! I know you probably don't have a tv in the Lair, tho! 🖤☺️
Awesome and very well done as usual! I just love your gothic homemaking style so very much! The Lair is looking like any goth homemaker’s dream. Certainly mine that’s for sure. Keep up the great work!
Voltaire I love you and your creativity so much. But that was the biggest tease ever! I was like finnaly we get too see what he does with the bees! Lmao, Nope. Your killing me and I love you!
Yay the best part about Monday’s ! The only thing that bothers me whenever you use the skull paper you cut out of the center and it drives me crazy because it wastes paper.
I do that because I'm particular about how the pattern sits in the frame. If I had used the top corner, the pattern would have been uneven. I don't mind wasting a bit of paper to get the desired effect I'm looking for. It looks vastly better with the Atlas beetle hovering over the largest floral design in the pattern than it would have if the shapes under him didn't correspond with his position at all.
The Lair of Voltaire thank you for that clarification I understand now and it doesn’t bother me anymore. Please don’t be offended I really enjoy watching your videos.
I like how simply you were able to spiff them up. I think they certainly deserved it. They were too sterile in the modern frames. I also like that you used lighter colored background paper too, to add dimension, rather than just sticking with dark papers. Looking forward to more! (like when you tackle the bathroom and kitchen areas) Best Wishes Always!!! :)
I've been experimenting with gussying up frames for about three years and this video helped me. It was exactly what I was hoping it would be. Thanks! I'll have to try that GS Hypo Cement. ^.^
Hey, where's Orville? He's missing in this video, did he go on a vacation or something? btw love your decorating with frames, i'll do that the next time i have picture frames. You are awesome volitare!
loving these videos! you inspired me to get off my butt and drag out my paints and brushes :) i do notice that you've not been to the best craft stores, i.e. thrift stores...i get 99% of my craft supplies there...vintage fabrics and doo-dads, picture frames to modify, and more old wrought iron candelabras than you can shake a candlestick at.....i'd love to see what you could do with upcycling some fabulous old junk :)
Did you say "Blake paper company"? I used to go to school with the owners son and step daughter, the step daughter and I were close friends at the time.
No, I said Blick as in Blick Art Materials. They have many stores around the country and that's where I bought the decorative paper I use in the episode.
You can also buy a silicone mold and resin to make the embellishments on your own. Not sure how much you paid on Etsy, but it could potentially be a more cost effective option.
I'm glad you're enjoying the series. Now I challenge you to make the Haunted Library End Table as well as the Mystical Vanishing Chest and Summoning Table using nothing but black spray paint and hot glue. Ha! ; )
You should try to find a Skull Moth..It's a Moth almost a little smaller then a sparrow, and it has a skull on both of it's wings or in the center of the body. ( real skull/skulls ) I mean it's a natural huge ass goth moth ;) Google it..I am not sure what it's name is in English or Latin but it will find it, try "Death Moth" or "Skull Moth"..I think that it's maybe a night butterfly not a moth but it's the same thing. It would be epic for the Lair.
Go check out Psychic Circle Oddities! Suzy from KittyKatGaming/Game Grumps sells gorgeous pieces like these if you can't or don't want to make your own.
Love you, live what you do. But, as someone who works almost exclusively with paper...watching you cut inserts from that far away from the edges (possibly wasting a lot of great paper) makes my OC Dragon anxious lol🐲
Copied from an earlier reply: "I do that because I'm particular about how the pattern sits in the frame. If I had used the top corner, the pattern would have been uneven. The only thing that worries me with this series... what happens when you run out of space?? Lol, great video, as always =)
Break down the wall and make a second room, you can use the debris for an amazing entrance... Now that i think about it, that entrance would look amazing
Lol, yeah. ... Yeah, it would actually. For some reason, it makes me think of Labyrinth.
I imagine he wills either start putting things in storage, or put older items in the hands of fans somehow. His apartment is pretty small.
I want to see what he does with his bathroom, if anything.
Sell it all off and start over?
... I'm not ashamed to admit I have a thing for bathroom fixtures. Bathroom and kitchen... I swear, when I have my own place, there will be a claw foot bath tub and no chrome to be seen, anywhere! No chrome-colored plastic either.
When in doubt, paint it black.
drops everything to watch this at 7am
@ good to see there's someone else too lmao
Would love to see gothic homemaking : bedroom edition. hanging lights, canopy curtains etc
I love these quick tutorials and I love that even on a budget I can do these things at home.
Wow brilliant. That’s got to be the best yet. Love the way the corners overlap the glass to give it more of an ornamental feel. Another Voltaire masterpiece.
Much better looking with the brass bits.
Summary of gothic homemaking: Paint it all black c:
Simple solutions for decorative elegance. Great video!

Love how those turned out
WOW I LOVE MOTH AND BUTTERFLY I'M GOING TO PUT ON MY LIVING ROOM FRAMES.
I would love to jump in the train and see the lair in person. You are so talented!
Every thought about doing a Gothic Homemaking ( Musical instrument edition ) like goth up a guitar, bass, mic stand ...perhaps a ukulele XD
This I've always done, but as Always love what you create.
I have this vision of someone spray painting their tv black and sticking bits of metal on it now :o
I haven't owned a TV in over 30 years! I'm vastly more productive this way! But I have to say, that sounds like an amazing idea!!!
I’ve been looking for a video like this forever thank you so much
Thank you for this video! I'm going to use this for some of my moms farms so they match her pictures.
That looks really nice. Maybe I will do the same thing. It looks really good. Love it. 🖤
Beautiful. Also that wine glass makes me want one even though I don't drink.
Great work, ty for sharing it with us!! 😺
Mr voltaire those gothic frames look very lovely for the lair truely perfect
They look great!
Awesome and very well done as usual! I just love your gothic homemaking style so very much! The Lair is looking like any goth homemaker’s dream. Certainly mine that’s for sure. Keep up the great work!
You are so creative!
Voltaire I love you and your creativity so much. But that was the biggest tease ever! I was like finnaly we get too see what he does with the bees! Lmao, Nope. Your killing me and I love you!
This is exactly what I’m looking for!! I wanted to make my own decorated frame for my bug collection too.
Thanks for this, I'm going to need it. I bought waaaay too many things at Dragon Con that need to be framed.
Yay the best part about Monday’s ! The only thing that bothers me whenever you use the skull paper you cut out of the center and it drives me crazy because it wastes paper.
Christina Haines Yes! So glad I’m not the only one bothered by that.
I thought I might be the only one who this bugs.

@@christinahaines2837 I was never offended

Those frames are picture perfect, my good sir ;)
Love this!

What happened to the blue bumblebees from way back when? Those were amazing!
That project got derailed I'm afraid, but I still plan to use them eventually.
Great episode as always! I do have a question, when is the next Song Meanings and Origins?
Probably this Thursday. I took a week or two off because of Dragoncon
I've done the same to an old medicine cabinet/mirror from the 1920s
👌, the most satisfying part is when you spray anything black.
That's awesome!
LOVE IT!!!
I just wanna have a pajama party at the lair. Or a victorian tea party.
Really like the frame idea. Have to use that sometime
truly amazing stuff! :)
Your make-up is very pretty. Love the frames as well.
where do you get the purple lamp with the skull on it?
I made it! See how in Gothic Homemaking: A Bone to Pick.
thank you!

Question, why do you never prime or clearcoat anything that you paint?
I don't know. Maybe I'm lazy. ; )
I probably should have just said, "because I'm punk rock!" LOL!
those are awesome! I love how simple this is too. :)
Video idea: Have a friend do your makeup in their style. That would be so much fun 😊
Should still be sleeping. Have to watch this!
Missing the full episodes
What are the insects being held by?
I just live for this serie.. does make me want to buy a house tho XD
That’s cool. I like your craft idea. 👍👍🖤🤟🏽😘📱

Lovely 💖💖💖💖
i really genuinely love "Black Spraypaint and Glue: The Series"
I'm glad you're enjoying the series. Now I challenge you to make the Haunted Library End Table as well as the Mystical Vanishing Chest and Summoning Table using nothing but black spray paint and hot glue. Ha! ; )
♡
how do I meet someone like this without sounding like all the rest of the thirst traps? genuinely.
Love it man!
Aweeesome!!
💜
Paint it black drinking game: one shot
Nice
So, my oddball little self has decided to use this series to decorate a dollhouse room.
Awesome :D
Great! 💜

Is it anything like the Deathshead Moth? Had brother a who was obsessed with those things.
I have one and it's shown in this episode.
I remembered ! and find it...That's the one!

Ugh, not a fan of bugs. The moths and butterflies I can handle, but those beetles give me the willies. And not in a good way.
I thought those beetles were amazing :D
I'm glad there weren't spiders lol
nice :D
I personally think the stamping would look better as tarnished silver.
Love you, live what you do. But, as someone who works almost exclusively with paper...watching you cut inserts from that far away from the edges (possibly wasting a lot of great paper) makes my OC Dragon anxious lol🐲

Completely understand that. Hadn't considered that you were using a patterned paper. I agree with your considered reasoning. Craft on, Dark Elf Lord
You have to find a client with a big empty apartment, so the show can scary on.🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌚
You need to decorate my house.....
