I think that people reading this should at least try to do the jump first, and the goal is to try & do it exactly the same way that she did. If you've been there done that or you're just going to cheat & read on past this "Spoil Alert" than be my guest: Sprint, slide, jump then hold right strafe & hit sprint right before you land on the ledge of the dark box with sand in it. You want to time the jump so that your feet are barely clipping that edge and then hit crouch right before your feet touch the floor to curb slide. You don't see your feet running before the curb slide because when the back of your heel clips the ledge perfectly it instantly sends the spartans feet straight to the floor and if you time the curb slide at that exact moment then the curb slide begins instantaneously. It's the best curb slide that you can do and the most difficult. Also, the camera in theater is not always accurate depending on where you are while you're watching the footage. It will do different things from different angles = sometimes you'll turn around slow and other times you'll turn around fast. A good example of this is from my Empyrean Jump Montage on my RUclips Channel. Pay close attention to the first jump = instead of curb sliding like you would expect, it was a long sprinting type of animation which is what happened to you in your theater mode. When that happens, keep replaying that moment and move to lots of different positions and you'll see what I mean. Now I would like to think if you hold jump that the spartan will jump the same distance everytime but I don't think it works that way. The jumps slightly vary in height and I think it's completely random. If you go back to my Empyrean Jump Montage, the over jump part off the rail = that same ledge can be reached with a clamber but it's hit and miss because you need one of the highest possible jumps to reach it. The jump from your video after the slide is the exact opposite of the spectrum which makes where you slid from a lot more difficult to do because most of the time you will jump past the ledge that you need to land on which makes this little miniature chain jump even cooler, especially if people try to slide from the exact same spot that you did. It's either that or you're also connecting your feet to the that surface with an over jump instead of continuing your jump upwards like you normally would, it's really difficult to tell. The more I tried getting the Over Jump to connect to the backside of that box, the more I had to adjust the initial angle until I knew it wasn't going to work + having that slight running animation from the Over Jump just didn't look as clean as yours did. Next I focused on the initial jump and after many attempts I knew I just couldn't get my Spartan to jump that low. Your jump was like a miniature jump compared to mine hence the title "Mini Chain Slide." At that point I was forced to search through the Halo Infinite settings and I found one called 'Step Jump' which reduces jump height when jumping onto low ledges. Being a jumper, I don't want the game to decide how low or how high my jump should be but thinking about it in a multiplayer sense, it might be the better option as it will keep you out of the air more often. So once I enabled that I was finally able to replicate your chain but I didn't feel the need to upload that clip because you already did it as perfect as anyone will ever do it. So mine is the same chain but without 'Step Jump' enabled.. I know you did that on accident but the way you navigate the crosshair positioning during the chain is very impressive & the way you hit that was so smooth that it actually made me question myself 🤘 For everyone else reading this, make sure you use the link in the description above & show her some love for uploading this memorable little Live Fire Mini Chain!
