This is an old chevy thing. the gas bounces in the gas tank, when the vehicle accelerates gas moves to the back of the gas tank and the float goes up. while braking it goes to the front and float goes down :))) that's weird but its normal for those cars. It also depends on the amount of fuel in the gas tank.
