Started work as a cadet in 1973 then a student nurse and registered nurse from 1974-1993. Gorgeous stunning buildings and the museum in the attic was so interesting. I hope it is being lovingly cared for x
I remember when I was at greaves school, about 83/84, and we used to go there to keep the residents company, just sitting with them and chatting and stuff, really enjoyed, but the building always gave me the creeps, actually still does, it looks very foreboding. Thanks for posting, just come across this channel and really enjoying it, 👌💯.
Glad you like my videos. Don't forget to subscribe etc.. always something going on around here. Also message me if you've seen somewhere I could record that I've missed. Thanks
Such a magnificent building. I remember delivering there with a tipper when it was a hospital and was always cagey about being given on-site directions. Especially when they'd say: 'reverse forward a bit'.
Spectacular! I used to visit occasionally as part of my job. Loved the grandeur of the building. Could I as if you can leave the words on screen for a little longer as they vanish before I’ve had chance to read all the words. 😊
Incredible that it's listed, but the iron work is falling off the main tower, the outer buildings are falling into decay, and despite reporting it to the people responsible for the protection of listed buildings nobody's prepared to make the present owners keep the building in decent repair. This is probably one of the last surviving learning disability hospitals still standing and it deserves to be kept as a reminder of the history of its kind in this country.
Studied there for 2 years and taught there for two years. Shaped my future for the better.
I go there. I started 4 weeks ago. Alhamdulillah I really like it there.

I really like the tall steep sloped roof with the spooky looking windows , reminds me of Addams family or Harry Potter
