Imagine the betrayal coming from Yagami shooting Matsugani in the burning building, thinking there would be a good place to clear almost all lose ends, but Kuroiwa comes for the rescue, and from there we switch for Kuroiwa joining Kaito and the gang to bring Yagami to justice. THIS WOULD BE ONE HELL OF A TWIST.
A bit of a fun fact for those who don't know, Kuroiwa was initially planned to be an ally to Yagami instead of being one of the main villains. We know this because there are unused voice lines for when Kuroiwa was meant to be an optional friend event the more you progressed in the story, and he would also help in fights as well.

It's because none of these cut scenes are pre-rendered and use the in-game engine. The character models made for judgment all support the same inputs over the skeletons (I doubt a modder fully switched everything when they dnt hav to). Luckily, the character models are relatively the same size so it's harder to see any issues, like telekinesis or psychic punches, although u do see Yagami removing an invisible hood. I'm not 100% sure since I never modded this game but have modded others.
