Thank you for sharing. I have had depression since childhood and I am now 56. It is important to tell those around you how things are sometimes, not for tea and sympathy for me but to give them some awareness and understanding if some days you are just not yourself. People do tend to ask am I OK and am I sure I'm OK, out of concern, and I tell them honestly. Good days and bad, good hours and bad hours, but I am still here and I'm still fighting and I am greatful that no matter how hard it is to get up some days, and trust me it is bloody hard, I have the strength to do just that.
