Congrats on a getting a sponsor and not selling your soul to Raid! Ok, so novel Steve is way more incompetent than a player as Steve. Got it. I remember a poll awhile back listing Duck Hunt as Duck Hunt Trio, which is consistent with what's been said about them in Smash. Basically, there's an extradimensional player behind the screen with a zapper and 3 shotgun shells. In the Climbers' favor, I'm pretty sure they can take down a polar bear, which is much tougher than a hunting dog. However, there are only 2 Climbers vs 3 shotgun shells. They also aren't fast enough to catch the dog. Also, Duck Hunt is just a way more fun game than Ice Climber.
Yeah, Ice Climbers has not aged as well as Duck Hunt... Ice Climbers probably have the advantage in raw strength, given how high they can jump from a standing position while still smashing stone blocks, plus the more intimidating animals they already fight? But there's always the question when pairing a melee fighter and a gun fighter against each other: does the melee fighter have any feats (durability, speed, reaction, whatever) that let them handle a normal bullet?
@@SuperDodger64 Haha, I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize they actually labeled them as TRIO for next time at the end of the episode. This is still an episode I look back on and have very little things to critique, great job! (Side note: PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP, At 2:33, what novels explain or show that endermen have telepathy and mind reading 😭)
This whole fight felt a bit off to me. As someone who plays Minecraft a lot, there were a lot of stuff that didn't seem right, such as the Endermen training for centuries (or however long it was). That might be how it works in other sources of Minecraft, but using secondary canon isn't always the best idea because most of the time, the logic of said Canon doesn't always make senae in the main canon. It's like saying Machamp could effortlessly defeat a Gengar because you can do that in Pokkén. Also, the Pokémon anime gets some stuff wrong like being able to use confusion on dark types or string shot actually being a good move. It was an interesting battle, but those are my 2 cents on the subject.
Not going to lie, the Enderman would have been a genuine threat in Smash bracket if they won due to being able to just teleport people to the end at will, training on par and even surpassing Steve and Alex, and ability to just not be affected by projectiles.
Also, anything not human wouldn't cause the Enderman to go into their Berserk state, and guess what? A large portion of other Characters literally aren't human.
Surley if it's at the peak of their strength they would be in full maxed out netherite with an inventory filled with totems and stacks of enchanted golden apples also with op potions
Yeah canon is tricky! Everyone seems to have a different definition and standard for what is/isn’t canon. In order to be consistent we put together a list of criteria and a scale to evaluate canon. (I know they say 'official product' but I don't know if that's enough)
There are statements, but it's a bit complicated. I'll be breaking down everything in our deep dive podcast. You can see that on the crew channel soonish
Smash Bracket! people say Alex wins against villager? I think not! Villager in the manga runs at 80mph while Alex can only manage a small 18mph (which is an estimate). In strength I believe villager takes it too, since he can casually knock U.F.Os out of the sky, and carry whale sharks, plus in the manga he can achieve buff mode in his sleep, uprooting trees and sending houses in the sky just by his presence, Only thing Alex has if experience in battle i assume, since also in the manga he gets struck by lightning (I think) and survives.
would they be able to wear elytra and a chestplate at the same time? and netherite armour is something that would give an even bigger advantage due to preventing them from taking knockback
I think it would have been really cool if Steve and Alex represented both different kinds of Minecraft's combat systems, with Alex representing 1.8 and Steve representing 1.9.
This was an amazing episode but I must ask. Why were you using the books, Island and the Mountain for Steve and Alex? I know Guy and Summer look similar (if not identical) to Steve and Alex but aren't they just different characters entirely? (I'm sure you got a good reason just want to know)
The animation was cool but i feel like you gave too much weight to non-canon sources. idc if mojang liscensed some book, unless the statements in it can be backed by what's seen in mc. In mc enderman never tp directly to the end, pick up entities and cant use elytra and they give no indication of having such hidden abilities. If this was strictly mc based then Steve and Alex would tie obviously, they're the same in game, but i do think develepor statements and other official material do give some weight so i'd agree with alex beating steve, but steve would def destroy enderman. Other than those issues I really enjoyed the vid, particularly impressed by the animations
There is actually mechanics to actually showcase blocks turned into items being weightless. This comes down to a piston, weighted pressure plates and water physics (not from a water bucket) - A piston has a max limit to pushing blocks in minecraft (that being 12 iirc). There's one notable block a piston can't push: Obsidian. But being broken and turned into an item (Shrunken down and turned into a smaller block/item) The piston casually pushes the 64 stack of obsidian, despite pistons being unable to do so as a block and having a limit of 12 blocks in game - The weighted pressure plates are mechanisms in the game that creates a stronger redstone fixture the more items are placed on it. However fully stacked items (even gold blocks) only light up 1 space of a redstone trail. Even items like a Shulker box filled with 1000s of gold blocks and netherite blocks (Which is what people use to "measure" steve and alex's strength) gives the same exact result. - Then there's bodies of water of an ocean. Take for example an Anvil: It showcases gravity and that the block itself has weight to it and sinks to the very bottom. But breaking and turning into an item, the anvil just... floats instead. Combining this with the Novels (as a way to expand the world building of MC) and how that these features are exactly replicated in the canon game of minecraft, thats 6 clear examples (3 from novels and 3 from in-game) of items being entirely weightless.
@@luigconyoutube7551 I think you replied to the wrong comment, i never mentioned anything related to weight. Also there are loads of blocks that cant be pushed by pistons other than obsidian. eg. bedrock, beacons, lodestones
@@T101G oh pffft. My bad. I just saw “weight” when mentioning the novels and thought you were talking about steve’s strength. Didn’t know you meant “using it as canon” XD my mistake!

Omg I just noticed the detail at 15:00 Steve fires harming potions at the endermen and Alex and a zombie rises after the potions hit them because harming heals zombies and healing harms them Or I’m just looking into it too much
The ending was kind of confusing to understand with what just happened. However for next time it's totally going to be ice Climbers for the win. Wobble all the way to victory.
Ice Climbers is going to come close to winning with Duck Hunt dog and duck barely surviving, only for Nana and Popo to get shot by the person with the gun
Coming from someone who literally hasn't much of a clue about Minecraft, this was a pretty good battle. This is probably more information about the series than my nephew has tried to give me lol.
Man, if zombies HAD a brain they would have definitely destroyed everything and everyone in their path! I mean, if you can call your friends, then why not retreat for a moment and come back with an ARMY? If they were intelligent they would have come with a whole army of iron armored zombies! Good luck defeating THAT!
I'm confused; if endermen hate adventurers and the order they bring so much and spend hundreds if not thousands of years learning how to kill them, why are they a passive mob until provoked? Guess I should use that audible sponsorship and buy/listen to the books to find out...
I see how Alex won, but I think the Enderman would do better in the long run with his battlefield removal. That would be pretty lame if he just teleported everyone rho
Now I’m picturing the characters that enderman would defeat if he won all just getting trapped in the end and it builds up over time as they’re all just chilling
My one disappointment with this is that zombies didn't just keep spawning until there was a gigantic hoard climbing up a mountain which Steve had to use the beacon laser to kill.

But being broken and turned into an item (Shrunken down and turned into a smaller block/item) The piston casually pushes the 64 stack of obsidian, despite pistons being unable to do so as a block and having a limit of 12 blocks in game
- The weighted pressure plates are mechanisms in the game that creates a stronger redstone fixture the more items are placed on it.
Animation was pretty good, only major complaints I have are the lighting issues and sound design. Other than that good work for this shows first 3D fight.
I thought I knew basicly everything about Minecraft, but damn I've never heard about any of this before.
This and Madara vs Aizen makes December 6th a good day to be a fan of vs shows.
I’m rooting for Duck hunt, the ice climbers can’t do much plus duck hunt have the hunter on their side
Editing keeps getting better and bette
One of the best episodes BUT IM STILL SALTY ABOUT ENDERMAN'S LOSE ):
Omg I just noticed the detail at 15:00 Steve fires harming potions at the endermen and Alex and a zombie rises after the potions hit them because harming heals zombies and healing harms them
Or I’m just looking into it too much
I can already tell this will be great
Surprised that Steve and Alex had a difference in personality. I just assumed they’d be the same in every way.
Same
The ending was kind of confusing to understand with what just happened. However for next time it's totally going to be ice Climbers for the win. Wobble all the way to victory.
My money is on Alex!
YES!
How will you traduce her strength to fight the villager?
Or, How will you traduce villager's strength to work in the world of minecraft?
Villager has feats?
Dude, same. Spiders are a menace. My first time doing a hardcore series on RUclips, I was killed by spiders.
Minecraft Battle Royale!
Magikarp soloes the Sonic-verse
Good
@@wishbushwashbosh6443 Nah he 100% does i mean.. Did Sonic take out Leon's entire team?
16:20 There I am Gary there I am!
This gotta be the best episode yet
AYYyyyy I predicted Ice Climbers Vs Duck hunt would be a Battle
hey ink, quick question
how will you handle Alternate Ending?
To be totally honest I don’t think I have the money for alternate endings for 3d battle royales unless something changes
@@SmashBracket maybe instead it a peaceful alternate ending instead of them killing each other
@@gameuniverse5973 nah I just want steve to win
@@SmashBracket i guess time will tell.
Seeing Technoblade and Huahwi clips in a VS discussion video put the goofiest smile on my face
This is going to END up being a favorite of MINE.
I'm confused; if endermen hate adventurers and the order they bring so much and spend hundreds if not thousands of years learning how to kill them, why are they a passive mob until provoked?
Guess I should use that audible sponsorship and buy/listen to the books to find out...
LOVE the 3d animation style
If you technically think about it they can lift basically anything as what they hold reduces weight, So that gives them a good advantage
How are you gonna make the alternate ending? 3 different ones or just Enderman winning?
I see how Alex won, but I think the Enderman would do better in the long run with his battlefield removal. That would be pretty lame if he just teleported everyone rho
Any characters that could fly or enderman couldn’t grab would have a great chance against him based on lack of range
@@SteampunkSavage i feel like the enerdragon could hav3 done something
Have
Technically Ender Dragon isn’t part of the character tho
Now I’m picturing the characters that enderman would defeat if he won all just getting trapped in the end and it builds up over time as they’re all just chilling
THIS WAS AWESOND!!!!!!!!
The battle between retros will be awesome personally I think duck hunt will win by the gun and the dogs laugh.
Squidward is above Minecraft
WOW! Last episode was released like, 2 days ago and the quality of this one definitely hasn't suffered! Great work!
Two days??? It’s been two weeks since the last episode.
