I need to tell you how much I appreciate your informative video. I am a mother of two and in the healthcare profession. I know NOTHING about vehicle repair. Thanks to you however, I was able to disassemble the door, access the motor, and repair our window without ANY outside help (aka expensive mechanics)! Thank you eternally. You're amazing.
+Purple Hoser Thanks for watching. If any of our viewers needs to make this repair, we carry the auto repair part shown in this video on our website. Here is a link to them: www.1aauto.com/1A/WindowRegulators/Nissan/Titan/1AWRG01588?RUclips&CTA+Comment&Fu64kwNFwLM
Yes good video, may purchase a Nissan Titan with non working window.
Yup! My Titan windows were not working for a long time. I was told little over $1000 to fix. It cost me $300 for the parts and did it myself in an hour. Your video helped me very much thanks!
My mother in law just asked me to change the window regulator in her 07 Titan and your video will be a big help.
I missed the part of the video where we cut our arm on the edges, drop the bolts inside the door panel to fish out, the window drops down on you while your hands are in there, and of course, the mandatory breaking half of the door tabs off when you pop the sides loose. But in theory, your video was very accurate and on a good day, goes just as smooth ;)
Thanks for the video! With the help of this video and another one, I was able to replace the driver side window motor on my 07 Nissan Titan. One thing that might help other folks that I have experienced. At 1:59, since the bolts to the window did not line up to the holes where I can take the bolts off, I was kinda stuck since I couldn't cut the two wires to my regulator like the video suggests to do. I was simply changing out the motor and reusing my regulator. I found a comment in a Titan forum from a member saying that a tap to the area where the motor is mounted help "fixed" the motor. So I took a rubber mallet. Gave the area a few good taps, and I was able to roll up my window where the bolts lined up. Also, it was tough to keep the window up with tape after I unbolted it from the regulator so I wedged a few cardboard pieces in the window instead. After that, followed the steps in the rest of the video and got my window motor replaced. Thanks again!
Your video was very easy to follow and I very much appreciate you walking ppl through steps because you just save me over $300 at the mechanic shop, I did it myself. Thank you
You saved me $1044.00. That's how much Nissan of McKinney wanted to do this job. $200 for a motor and regulator at Autozone, this video, and about an hour of time and it was done.

there were TWO more bolts holding the panel on my 08 titan, one under the plastic behind the latch and one under the armrest. other than that unforseen nightmare, this video helped tremendously.
+Michael Nulton That's a good tip. Thanks for posting it. For anyone else looking to replace their window regulator, 1A Auto carries the part here: www.1aauto.com/1A/WindowRegulators/Nissan/Titan/1AWRG01588?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&ATony
Yep, me too. 09 titan.
My 2006 titan had one of those bolts!
Thank you alot! Swapped out my window regulator and motor easily with the help of this video!
You just save me $1000 I also saw another site it said I could clean the motor contacts which I did. That's all it was. Working like a champ
Gregory Bernier do you have the link to do that? Thanks!
73% sure that's my problem! The window seals suck and the door fills with water when it downpours. Likely corroded something or other... unfortunately my window is stuck half way so I may have to clip the damn cables. That or pay a child/tiny woman to reach their little hands in there with a wrench lol
Second time I watched your video. Have since changed passenger and driver side regulators out. Thanks
You are a life saver I just followed your video with a nissan armada 07
Fantastic tutorial. Replaced my regulator today and was easy! Works great.
Thanks for this. Now i know i can do it on my own. Doing the passenger side next.
Saved a gang of money due to your video, thanks I really appreciate it!
I took my 2005 Nissan Titan SE to Gainesville FL Nissan because I don't like dealing with electrical problems. They told me "Two bad motors" and $1500 to fix. The actual problem was the regulators, which I replaced for a fraction of the cost using videos like this. It was a breeze.
FYI on a 2004 at the handle area the (1) screw there is another once that cover is removed. When you grab the handle bar to lift up it wont come off just look bottom of handle for the extra screw. So in other words there is (2) screws for handle barn then there are (2) at the pull handle to open. Just double check before yanking
nothing happens when i hit the switch, i assume its the motor. if the window is stuck in the up position how do you get it down to the spot where you can get to the bolts to unhook the window from the regulator?
I just used this video to replace my window motor. It was extremely helpful. I will use more of your videos.
Thanks for watching 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
How do you know if it's your motor or the regulator that is no longer working??
I have a 2007 Armada that likely has a bad Motor on the driver side. I tried replacing the window switch with no luck. The window is currently stuck in the closed position. Is there any other way to remove the Regulator/Motor without cutting the cables. Or is that the only way to unbolt the window is to either get the motor to work temporarily to align the bolt and hole or cut the lines to the regulator destroying a likely good part.
Anybody else have an issue with having multiple regulators die? This is my 3rd one driver side and 2nd one passenger side in a 2013 with 140k miles. Always sounds like its struggling to go up... it really whines and in the cold you have to help it with your hand
Replaced my regulator and motor like a boss thanks for posting this video 👍🏾
Good job, Darin! Feels good to do it yourself, doesn't it? Thanks for watching the video and letting us know it helped. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
Hi, I cut those cables and my window won't move down at all. I am using quite a bit of force and am afraid to push harder. I jiggled all the cables and they seem to be free. Any ideas?
Got my motor replaced thanks in part to this video and another I found. Really appreciate the instructions!
You didn't mention how you set the window limits so that it won't lower down after it hits the top.
+Richard Leal Thanks for the tip! We'll pass this info along to our production team.
If the window is on the down position, you mentioned the cable may be stuck and to move it up with hand. How would you unstick the cable in order to be able to move it up to access the two bolts (10mm) that hold the window.
Jasbir Sangha If there isn't a way to un-jamb the window due to a stuck or broken cable, sometimes the only way to free it up is to cut the regulator cable and replace the window regualtor. We carry replacement window regulators for your Nissan Titan on our website. Here's a link to them if you need to replace the one that you have. Hope this helps you out. www.1aauto.com/nissan-titan-window-regulator/mo-c/1075-16?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&ATony
This is the same as the Nissan NV 1500. Thank you. I will keep A1 in mind for my parts needs.

How do u know if it’s a bad regulator or motor? My window goes down and up all the way to a certain point and that’s it I can pull it up but just falls right back down
Thank you - great video
neat video, please state that before replacing vapor barrier/water shield make sure that the regulator motor is connected to the wiring harness connector!
Good job Don! Very helpful video.

Great video! To the point with high quality clear video with good sound quality. Will save me hundreds of $$$!
Noticed several comments asking how to distinguish if it's a regulator problem or rocker switch problem but you've never addressed this. Any luck addressing it today?
+cannon farris That would be something you'd have to test. You may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
Thank you so much, this video saved me mucho dinero!

+DCBillW Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com
So after you cut the 2 lines to drop down the window, would you have to replace it? Seemed important 🤔
Thank you very much for the video.
+Mark Russo Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com
So does the window need to be down before working on it
I'm having a bit of an issue I just got the regulator but I'm missing the 2 pieces that hold the window it looks like there blue to the window what are those called?
those pieces are loosely glued onto the glass bottom, but sometimes comes out with the regulator so you have to transfer those to the regulator.
If your window is stuck in the up position, and you cut the cables as shown, do they need to be replaced or repaired?
Thanks
When you replace the regulator assembly you'll get new cables
Thank you,
Thanks!
My window is stuck CLOSED. must I cut the cables?? Thanks
Thanks, great directions!
Im having this issue with both rear windows in my 08 Armada not rolling down or up from the rear switches. I am able to roll them down with the driver master switch but it is painfully slow on both. Any suggestions?
+@ivanvega2821 We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
Where can I buy the piece where the cable clicks in in the door? On mine a piece broke so it doesnt open the door from the inside🤦♀️

Can I do this to the back doors also?
+ronnie reyes It will be a similar procedure for the back. Thanks for checking us out!
Does anyone know the name of the little clip where the door actuar goes the second little clip he removes does anyone know the name of it please thank you
Window goes down but not up and makes a machine gun noise when trying to go up could this be the issue?
So my window is stuck all way down and won’t budge up does that mean it’s the regulator. I thought it was the motor
IT was very helpful, but on my passenger door then was another bolt under the arm rest, I found this on another video or I'd never gotten the panel off. I could not get my window up high enough to remove the window release nuts. So I couldn't get the regulator or motor out.

Hi I got a nissan quest 2005 and the power window regulator must be replace so please can you upload a video to the NISSAN QUEST 2005 tanks
+joseluisgonzalezism We currently do not have an auto repair video that covers this particular repair. We will keep this request in mind in the event that we need to make this repair in the future. 1aauto.com
Nice video, but the regulator on the bench isn't the same one you took out of the door.
+alan nichols Thanks for the tip! We'll pass this info along to our production team.
nissan quest 2005 how to install and replace the window regulator please upload the video tanks
What do you think? My 2004 Titan's drivers side window is hit or miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If it was yours and you had limited diagnostic skills like me would you replace the master switch or regulator first? There is no noise when I operate the switch if that helps.
Check the wire harness between the door and body of the vehicle for a broke or frayed wire that may need to be repaired. hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
Thanks, I'm 95% sure that's my issue. I appreciate you pointing that out, I wouldn't have thought of it!
You left off the motor calibration step
Does the whole regulator need to come out if you just changing the motor ?
You should be able to just remove the motor from the window regulator. We carry new window regulators for your Nissan Titan on our website. Here's a link to them. Hope this helps you out. www.1aauto.com/2012-nissan-titan-power-window-motor/y-mo-c/2012-1075-22?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&ATony
How would you do it if the window is stuck on the down position?
Once you remove the door panel you should be able to push the window into the up position by hand. If it's stuck, the cable could be jammed and you would need to free it up. Let us know if this helps you out. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
Can you make a video on how to put a power window on a nissan titan that doesn't have a power window
We'll keep this request in mind in the event that we need to make this repair in the future.
Hello what about NISSAN QUEST 2009 please help me thanks.
+rdelgado1979 We're always cycling through common cars. We'll add this repair to our list! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
You missed 2 screws in the door panel removal!!
The video doesn't show you removing the bolt behind the arm rest
cause it was 2004
the extra 2 is on 2006 &07
how to know if is the motor or the regulator ???? help please
+Carlos Vega If you take the door panel off, inspect the window regulator cable to see if it's broken. If it is, you would need a new window regulator. You may also want to test the power going to and from the window motor. We carry the window regulator shown in this video on our website with free shipping in the US www.1aauto.com/1A/WindowRegulators/Nissan/Titan/1AWRG01588?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&ATony
to 1AAuto - two thumbs up for your video!
This last time, I bought the regulator and motor already attached, for about the same price as just the regulator alone. You have to search hard for it. It was worth it. Saved time and the potential for having to do it twice. 2004 model Titan - they had a lot of bugs in it.
How do you know if the problem is the regulator or the motor?
AWESOME }
Bad camera work. It’s being shown upside down.
How do you get your window to roll up if it is stuck in the down position.
Edmond Chong what worked for me I plugged the switch back up and hit it in the up direction and pulled up on the window at the same time and managed to pull the window up.
Very carefully, lift the window out of its two plastic holders and raise to fully up, keeping in the tracks. Tape that up until you need the window again. You can probably remove the regulators now. Ive found a design flaw in the regulators that lock them in fully up (and I imagine fully down) position.
