I feel like the professor's love for Lauren has so thoroughly permeated his life that he can't help celebrate her in these latest videos, and I find that really heartwarming.
My most prized possession is a Grimfrost mjolnir pendant I bought as a birthday gift for myself. I literally go nowhere without it. That and a Havamal my mother got me for a Christmas gift. All I can say is, thank you for the ideas and I hope you have blessed holidays Prof.
What! Bird game!! Let's meet up! We're in foco! Loveland!? I LOVE BIRDS! We found you when you were reading at the Meade shop. Actually I noticed that game a while ago because it looks so beautiful. It also looked like a decent amount of work to.learn to play (by myself lol)
I ordered a Mjolnir Pendant from Wulflund, BIFRÖST is the Model. and I love it! its a very simplistic steel pendant, forged by hand and each piece looks unique. They make good swords too, well balanced and very tough, although a bit heavy. Make sure its actually made by them! They also sell from other producers who are not as good!
I got 2 rings from Grimfrost. Would recommend buying items from them, even if you aren't a Norse enthusiast. They have some beautiful items. Great quality on the products and the service was wonderful.
For those interested in artbooks or graphic novels, I would suggest 'Norse gods' by Johan Egerkrans, which is a beautifully illustrated book taking you through the basic Norse myths and gods. I'd also suggest 'Barbarian Lord' by Matt smith, which is a fantastic and whimsical comic heavily based on the Icelandic sagas with a slight pinch of Conan (hence the weird title).
Whoa. There must be something on the other side for there to be synchronicity like this. I literally got a Spyderco Military 2 today. That is so weird!!!! Two months ago, I didn't even know what Spyderco was. And I have all of your books. I feel like that is too much synchronicity. That had to be a .000001% chance in the universe of seeing this video the same day I get that knife. Here I am holding this knife thinking it was the perfect design for a pocket knife and there you go pulling it out. 🤯
Any recs for people that like more obscure Norse characters? (Specifically Skaði in my case) And for some more affordably EDC items, I carry an SOG Centurian knife and twin RoviVon Aurora A3 flashlights.
Hi Jackson, It seems your last videos have automatic dubbing activated. Hence, I hear some computer-generated French voice instead of yours. It seems that automatic dubbing is the default setting now, but it can be deactivated by the creator in RUclips Studio. So please deactivate this horror!
Hi Jackson love your channel. I'm looking for reference material for my second viking historical fiction book which is set in Ireland. Any references to Olaf the White would be useful. Can you recommend any

❤ ..: blushing :.. This made my morning! Thank you! 🥰✨
To a true Norse enthusiast, the greatest gift is being slain in combat. And yet you didn't mention any hitman-for-hire websites...
you have to become a patreon
😂
As we say in the Faroe Islands. "Knív leysur er lív leysur. " Always good to have the knife in your pocket.
Knife lost is life lost?
All of these look like great gifts, particularly the Skane Mjolnir and Wingspan game!

Great video, as always! We specialize in recreations of historical arms and armor. Viking Shields are one of our specialties!
I'm so glad Dr. Crawford likes Wingspan. That game is a treat.

Some great Norse gift ideas and may have to pruchase some myself. Thanks Prof. and great to see your support for the natural history museum!
I picked up a mjolnir pendant from Grimfrost a few years ago , still going strong

Have a good feasting season, Prof.
There was DEFINITELY a volume difference between the main video and the museum voice over LOL
Just checked the Amazon page. I can definitely suggest "Raptor Red" for anyone who's into both good fiction and dinosaurs!
I love my replica Viking swords!! Thanks for the video, Jackson! 👍

Hey Jackson, been enjoying your videos.
Speaking of the sagas, are there sites in Iceland you would recommend for saga fans?
For that matter, ever consider running a tour?
Fiancee huh? Congratulations to you both!
It was a pen I heard...I thought a gremlin, or a dragon off camera...a pen...
😂 he has a fidget pen! I’ll have to let him know not to fidget spin on camera 😜🤭
Dr. Crawford, do you enjoy the poems of Charles Olson at all?
Are there any interesting agricultural or other civilizational features that would make the norse interesting beyond their language and stories?
