@@bosoxdanc1 The major titles alone are enough to put him above the rest, IMO. There's over 50% less tournaments these days than were in the days of when WRW was able to farm title wins, so I think Belmo having close to 30 + the majors can really put him in the conversation for being the GOAT.

Wish The PBA tour was an actual tour like it was pre 2011.. almost 30 pba tournaments a year with 5 majors. Some of the guys, including belmo, would be at 30+ titles.
He still has a chance to pass WRWJ. For that he should eliminate years like 2016,2021 and grab 3-4 titles a year like 2017,2019,2020. It would be much easier if he played summer tour consistently. Simple math more tournaments you play more possible titles you may grab. My prediction is that he will end with 40+ titles, maybe 2nd tied/clean or 3rd tied/clean. Unfortunately 48+ titles is beyond the reality
I hate this format. I miss all the city stops and how tjhey used more of the calendar. Its just lost its pizazz and all those familiar stops are gone. i literally latched on to some of those stops. I mean its getting old pretty fast, not as interesting and a lot less variety than the good ole days.
Never have I felt more satisfied than what I have witnessed today. After the fiasco with what Sean Rash did in the Midwest Finals, and hearing that he got the No.1 seed, I was hoping for Jason to take him down. The fact that Jason took him down with his LOWEST score of all 6 TV games he bowled makes it even better. Sean has no one to blame but himself. Another No.1 seed squandered.
I wasn't rooting for Belmo, at all, but at the same time he very obviously outbowled every competitor he faced after qualifying from the West and was mega consistent until the final game (understandable, it's a major title + $40k over second). Anyone's gotta give him credit for at least that much, even those who don't like him.
Another major for Belmo! Can he be stopped? A year away and just picks up right where he left off. This is unbelievable! At this rate, he might end up with 20 major titles. He’s this generation’s Walter Ray Williams Jr. Belmo’s the gold standard. If you want to win, you’ll have to get past him, just like they had to do with WRWJ back then. Congrats Belmo on another major!
Are we going to talk about the fact that at 14:00 if rash had the 7-10 split left how he would of hit it if the 7 was there because the 10 pin went over the 7 spot
As much as I give Kyle, Rash, O'Neil and other top bowlers some credit for their success last year, its hard not to say if Belmo was there some things would be quite different. And it was like the Bowling Gods knew we wanted to see a Belmi vs Rash match for the championship. It was a good start to the season.
Graham’s arsenal doesn’t seem to mention the ball he starts with in this match. It’s a Brunswick Quantum Evo solid. I personally own that and the pearl. Great asymmetrical balls to use that compliment one another.
I’m just glad that Rash didn’t win after what he did in the regional finals. But Belmo really is back, really just happy to have him knocking pins out on tv shows.
Let's be honest: The only way someone can really compete--week after week-- is to bowl 2 handed. The higher rev rate allows for greater mistake area and far better pin chaos
In reality .. it’s his consistency , ability to adjust quickly and lane knowledge that are the key factors .. there are higher revving bowlers around ( both 1 and 2 handed ) .. but those are , in my view , the big difference… plus his will to win
@@davidfenech7185 What make Pros far better than the rest is the ADJUSTMENT. They move frames quicker than "us". But they also have ball reps that help in that adjustment.
As someone who started bowling 1 handed and stayed like that since I was 6 all the way until junior year of high school. I’m now two handed and have been since this October and I can say they are very different but two handed carry definitely bails me out, the issue is with the higher revs you need to be more accurate because if the ball catches friction it will snap too hard and if you miss in it might just slide all day. I would honestly argue two hander should have a different bracket but that’s difficult to change.
@@kylewarden6074 That's a honest reply-thanks. On one hand, you say you have to be more accurate, but on the other hand, less accurate because the pins sure act like a tornado and get more "breaks"
It’s helps being the 1 seed but at the same time it’s a bit of a burden, I’d rather be the 2 or 3 seed and get a shot at the lane before the title match. Being the 1 seed with no games, your adjustments have to be super quick. belmo definitely had an advantage going into the final
Considering what Belmo does in less tournaments each year, his win percentage is much higher than WRW. Also his major win percentage is absolutely insane. His career isn't over, no need to make GOAT comparisons. In my eyes Belmo and WRW are in a class of their own though. Both great bowlers and both have the ability to knock them down when needed.
I wonder if Jason Belmonte got startled when Sean Rash shouted at him about the bottle incident I think Jason must’ve forgotten about that and now uses metal water bottles instead of plastic. But I’m sure Jason wanted to destroy Rash
The only time I’d root for Belmo is when he faces Sean Rash. I love seeing Sean Rash lose more than any two hander out there right now. Congrats Belmo!
It's cool to see Jason's start to now. He would talk more and react a lot more when he bowled. Now he stares down the lane like killer.
