Good Job! The compass is an interesting addition. So why would I say that? Precisely because the magnetic poles are in a major excursion most likely flying along to a new location. Last thing I saw on that was that the N Pole was headed into the North Indian Ocean region and the S Pole would be 180 out from it. We had formulas in the past to calculate Cardinal North from the N magnetic pole position. Those formulas today would need constant updating. Believe it or not a Sextant would be useful for nights w clear skies. During the day most of us know how to find our cardinal directions. Pan Am used Sextants to navigate their oceanic flights in the Pacific. The military has classes on the Sextant for navigation.
Don't care about certain items on either side. Gordon case could be a bit bigger and water-tight, but I like the spork addition. Ideally, most people should keep one or the other in their trunk, along with a basic first aid kid and a fold-out shovel.
