I wish efforts would be made to implement choreography and to not allow those without costumes to mixed up wit those with costumes. We’ve been doing this too long not to not to hold ourselves to a higher standard. However, it was enjoyably as always.
So disappointed that coverage of the Band of the Year on Tuesday was cut to show Lottery draws!!! The first 3 sections were not even shown! can you believe? In this day and age where picture in picture, ticker tape or side by side views can be made, we still don't value what we have. And the full video has not been posted to this day. What a shame.
I am going to get a lot of heat for what I am going to write, but I am not going to keep quiet like the thousands of people who feel the same way. The Trinidad carnival parades have deteriorated tremendously. The behaviour of some of the masqueraders and their almost naked costumes are getting worse every year. It is such a pleasure to watch the children's carnival. I keep wondering who in the government gave approval to introduce the casual wear on Carnival Monday. It took a few people to destroy something that was creative and enjoyable. Pretty soon the percentage of visitors who come for the carnival will decrease much more than the NCC hope. It is time for the NCC, the government, the bandleaders, and the designers to go back to the drawing board. Is it because there are no former bandleaders of past decades to pass on their creative skills to these young bandleaders and designers who feel that the Maracas Bay beach wear should be portrayed in the streets for carnival. What happenrd to our sense of pride as women when coming to our behaviour on the streets on both Carnival Monday and Tuesday. Both the sense of creativity and morals have deteriorated? T&T, your greatest show on earth will slowly die soon if nothing is done to fix what is happening. I hope the government read my comment. .
The ladies in all the bands have know respect and manner also know shame but monday morning they are angels go to work and walk ing the road shame less people
@@GenevieveWaller-pk3xg i did not judge no one culture if you read my comment you would have unders tand properly what i wrote and it have notting to who is a trinidadian or not yes no one is perfection but woman get on ridiculous and no respect that is the truth what happened you all done like truth and honesty and then you all wants to correction chidren and what can you all teachers them Notting they all learns from what they see
No not "know". Anyway, the human body is nothing to be ashamed of. Showing it off is the most natural thing on the world. There's a time and place for everything. Obviously you won't carry on at work the same way you would when partying. Carnival is an occasion to let oneself go in a way many masqueraders would not in their everyday life. Something tells me you need to let go of some animal behaviour that you have caged up inside your sad and angry spirit. I suggest you join a band next year carnival and release that spirit.
@@cindy652 no way in hell to join a band with halve nake woman and yes this body is a temple of god blessing to human not to be exposed like that you can enjoy yourself and have a good time in the right way with a full costumes and portray something like a bird s or some thing but full costumes if your spirits is good you done have to be naked to play carnival at toll know ones is stop you all from have a good time but do it in the right way but you all have to blame bands leader of this foolish ness every year they done deserves know prices at toll
My only disappointment is that when king, queen and Individual costumes are on stage you barely ever get to see their full splendour because its like they don't exist to either the cameramen or production crew. And too many advertisements especially when a band is crossing the stage. Insert a small screen at the bottom of the main screen. It's a bit disrespectful if you put yourself in the band's position that I'm making a presentation and you're cutting me off.
Trinidad carnival has gone to the dogs. These costumes aren’t giving nothing beads and strings lol the feathers, plumes and everything looks cheap. My days of playing max is when the men carry the big head pieces the slivers and golds with bright colors hit the road mesmerizing the spectators now it’s only pastel colors and skin what’s the point. Mas leaders gotta do better with designing these costumes, I would love to have an input in that part of the carnival to bring back carnival 2025
