Any advice for upcoming summer in CT w/ fine fescue lawn that doesn't have irrigation. The lawn is too big for manually water in, but lawn otherwise is in pretty good shape. Also good amount of rain this year thus far. I'm just worried once the summer heat comes, lawn will start stressing and turn brownish. Liked and subscribed, thanks!
Thanks for watching and if I was any any heavy rain areas I’m staying on top of the fungicide applications and following up every 28 days. Other than that’s if not running irrigation and not having any rain fall I’d be ok with the lawn going into “dormancy” during the heat. It’s simply the lawn protecting itself and conserving energy for the fall time.
Besides some extreme water not really. We’ve tried applying some Liquid Humic and root growth stimulate to push growth and has some small success but nothing for immediate results.
Awe thanks! Only ever when to water early mornings and if you decide to do the “syringe soaking” mid day. We wouldn’t recommend any night time watering as that can increase your chances for disease and fungus issues.
They do actually carry some Humic products but they Simple Lawn Products are at Home Depot and Lowe’s actually carries a “Moisture Manager” Bio Advanced product that is similar to the FOURPlay.
Isn't it bad to cycle your sprinklers midday because the grass roots may try to reach upward for that water source? Opposed to the roots seeking water deeper in the ground.
#Happy Birthday! 🪅 Nothing but rain in DFW area, going to be a humid summer here. 🥵
Thank you and I’ve heard. My Mother is down in the Houston are. Y’all get that electricity up and running again?
Thanks for the mid day short cool down by hand or sprinkeler tip
You bet!
If I haven't done any fertilizer this year, which one should I use first? With all this rain in the DFW area it's super green & thick with weeds...
If your starting from scratch I’d apply an initial All Purpose fertilizer with equal balanced NPK rates.
I know you said your going do a video on your garden. But can you include how you protect your trees as well.
Absolutely!

Thanks for the advice will try the Hydretain. Quick question, how often and how deep do you water the lawn during the triple digit heat?
3 x per week, mornings only and a 2 min syringe soaking at 3pm. The main lawn areas gets 26min each watering day. 1.5inches per week.
@@SunCityLawnCare Thanks for the response, will give the syringe soak a try
Happy birthday! Little one
Would you recommend running the irrigation system In the evening as well or only morning and afternoon?

Great point and this isn’t a deep watering to get those roots searching. It’s more of a quick splash to cool down the lawn.
@@SunCityLawnCare I subscribed because you're the only person who knows about Pylex!
just dropped Bioadvance lawn root moisturizer , TTTF, EP TX . is this the same as Hydretain or should I still apply hydretain ?
Awesome and it’s similar.
