- A panel discussion between world-famous thriller writers David Baldacci, Steve Berry, Neslon DeMille, Lisa Gardner, and R.L. Stine, moderated by author Jon Land.
Thanks to the work of Jon Land, author, Friends of the Library board member, Providence resident, and Vice-President of Marketing for the International Thriller Writers, Brown University is currently establishing a Thriller Archive. Land wrote his first thriller as a senior thesis in English at Brown. Today he is a critically acclaimed and bestselling author of 32 books. Land has already donated his manuscripts to the Hay, and more donations will follow.
Land spearheaded the planning for the Thriller Panel as a kick-off for the archive. As he explained, "These incredibly successful authors represent an amazing range of thrillers from action, to political, to psychological suspense to young adult and even children's. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the thriller genre in general, and the collection to be housed at our own John Hay Library in particular."
The Brown University Library is home to more than 6.8 million print items, plus a multitude of electronic resources and expanding digital archives serving the teaching, research, and learning needs of Brown students and faculty, as well as scholars from around the country and the world. library.brown.edu/

This was a excellent panel.... I actually learn some informative information from every single individual.
I really enjoyed this and would love to see more of them.........
What a discussion !! Wish this too had millions of views. More people need to read and even more people need to write.
Very informative. I have already read Baldacci, and I’m actually in the middle of The Forgotten. I have not read the other authors, but now I am going to read all of them except Stine as that is not my genre, though I found him very interesting and entertaining. I was especially impressed with Lisa Gardner. She had great comments. I plan on reading her books.
After seeing this video, I realized that I have a long way to go. I have published my first book, Father Forgive Me, in July 2015. My next book will be published in January 2016; it is currently the editing phase. I will use these amazing authors’ tips in my next books.

I'm only 12 minutes in, but this interviewer is fantastic. Probably should've watched this BEFORE writing my first book (a thriller...). Oops!
8 years later, Amazon IS a totally viable option if you're trying to make a living as an author (1:28:00). Plenty of people do it, but it's not easy. Nothing worth doing is easy.
Why do librarians always LOOK like librarians ? You can tell
just by looking at them. Especially female ones. It's quite comforting in a way.
