Not too much trouble, but it sure is nice to upgrade and make it easier on yourself. You absolutely deserve it for all the time you put into bringing us along with you on these adventures. They are indeed very good and have come a long way since the 1990s models. A Toyota Hiace base camper van like this one, will have a '8 number' classification, meaning that it will be classed as an ordinary vehicle on the tolled Japanese expressways. Whilst certainly more flexible than a RV, they aren't always necessarily better than a caravan (camping trailer). The reason for that being that many regional tourist spots (places like wineries or other tourist attractions) will refuse entry to a vehicle that they consider to be mid-sized. A caravan can be left on the campsite allowing one to travel freely with the towcar. Each has its merits and demerits and I think it is difficult to say that one is better than the other as each person will have different camp and travel styles. The biggest demerit for a caravan (or any trailer) is that when attached to the towcar, the expressway tolls go up a rank to the price of a medium sized lorry. There is also the need to have enough parking space at one's home to be able to register the caravan/trailer in the first place.

Wow! The new camper van looks amazing. Congratulations! So happy for you that you have purchased the van of your dreams. And now you have plenty of room to move about and you don't have to worry about have space to put your things at. This camper van has a lot of counter tops and storage space. And it also has an exhaust fan so now you don't have to leave a door or window open when you cook. Plus you have privacy now for your sleeping area and toilet area. And on the outside of the camper you have now a roll away awning were you can chill, relax and cook outside without being bothered by the elements outside. Watching you explore the van is like watching a kid get his favorite toy. I love it! And yes I will miss the one that you made as well but things do change and this one is for the better.
