i actually got a reply back from Sean, and it completely made sense. if you're stuck working for Mark Breslin as a Yuk Yuk's circuit comic, you'll rarely get a chance to break out of that scene. he said at the time: "I'm scheduled to do a show in Dubai. If I was still in Canada, I'd be working Sudbury in 2 weeks."
One word...MAGNIFICENT.
This dude makes me proud to be canadian.
The swimming competition and waterskiing stories from this set are still two of the best I’ve ever heard

I seen this guy live in Niagara Falls, Ontario, in early 2002 doing this same act. I never laughed so hard at a live show. I remember he destroyed a rude and ignorant heckler in the crowd that night and had the whole audience on his side, thus receiving a standing ovation.

I am not a racist , they let people in to get out of the rain without finding out if they spoke english, not exactly a great move for a live comedy taping. and put them in the front row. we all went out for drinks later.

@hohahi123321 i guess it's because as Canadians, we feel like a nation w/ an identity crisis. we live next to the largest super power in the world and we feel they don't really care to get to know us when we know so much about them being so innundated by American media... not to mention the old European stereotype of us all just being lumberjacks, but i digress.
It's a shame to lose (as a nation) someone so tallented to the UK. we'd try to latch on to his success but he'd have to acknowledge us
