Took me a minute to recognise where you were walking 😅 im ashamed that i didn't get it right from the start. That first building looks less blue in this video than it seems in real life.
Thanks for the video! it's so nice to remember in the middle of August that such weather happens in eastern Europe, you even feel like a schoolboy, that you return home from evening classes in a deserted area. Thank you for showing a snow fairy tale in your city.
Thank you for that video. But finally it looks like a prison camp with all that houses. One looks like the other , very sad to see how people have to exist nowadays.
The reason why they look all very similar and kind of faceless is that they were built during the times when Soviet Union (Russia) occupied our country for 50 years. They were cheap and quick to build in order to satisfy the idiotic plans that soviet leaders had laid out. But a large portion of apartments have had their interiors modernized, so it looks worse from the outside. If you want to see the other side of Tartu, feel free to take a look at my other tour videos in the historic parts with very beautiful buildings. Thanks for watching!🙂

That's cus it's mostly Annelinn, a "neighborhood" in Tartu with pretty much only soviet apartments
