RIP Sheiky-baby. He broke many backs and *HUMBELLED* many jabrons.
Mostly Hulk Hogan, btw FUCK THE HULK HOGAN
Amen, Bubba. 🙏
Sheik: “Whats this jabronie doin in the drivers seat”
Kevin Nash: “I ain’t a Jabronie Sheik”
Sheik: “of course of course”
Old country way.
A to z king
What a guy. My old school chunky WWF Iron Sheik figure was one of my prized possessions as a little kid. Super heel. RIP brother.
Loved the Ljn figures. You could actually bludgeon a fella with one of those.
@@williamkincaid3465 Sheik and King Kong Bundy figures had some great heft to them.
Bundy broke our LJN ring when we bounced him off of the top rope. 😂
@@johansmallberries9874 Captain Lou Albano's figure, man you could beat ever living shit out of someone with that.....RIP Sheiky, one of my favourite heels ever
@@jakeschutz6342 best thing about the LJN figures: easily weaponized and you could still play with them after. Until a dog inevitably made a chew toy out of them. I feel like that was the fate of %80 of classic LJN figures.
Sheik's renaissance as a vulgar ex-wrestler curmudgeon was downright hilarious. His explicit rants on The Howard Stern Show circa 2007 are the stuff of legend. 🤣👍. RIP Sheiky Baby, go humble those jabronis in heaven 🙏
Howard Stern snatched the Sheik from the shoot interviews because it was hot and exploited it and it actually bombed because the 💩 was staged. Howard's career bombed as well and he started going around with his hair cut and became conservative showing us the true wimp that he is. That prostitute exposed his lame ass!
The shoot interview with he, HTM, and New Jack was some of the funniest shit I’ve ever seen. Telling Jeff jarret to perform fellatio on him while Sheik was having problems pulling his pants back up.
@@eamonwright7488. Classic stuff right there.
Fack the Howard Stern. That was Iron Sheik show, not Howard Stern show.
This was his best appearance. "He pay me $2 million in WHORES!"

The WWF outtake of Sheik cracking up Mean Gene while cutting a promo on a live turkey is classic. RIP, Legend.
I can 🧠 right now saying he tatered the 🦃 it was funny as hell.
He was like the Macho Man from the middle east.
Ya the turkey 🦃 thing was hilarious 😂
Gene Mean!
Lol. I have to go back every couple weeks too watch that one everytime lmfao
This man kept kayfabe alive for years after he retired and pretty much gave The Rock the term "Jabroni". May he rest in peace
Yep, the Rock goes out of his way to let everyone know he got the word from Sheiky.
@@Jayce_Alexander Got to respect The Rock for giving credit where it was due. The Rock respects the history of the business and, clearly, Khosrow as well. Beautiful stuff to remember on such a sad day.
He wasn't kayfabe he didn'tike Hogan legit
@@michaelrubin9547 not a lot of people that wrestled didn't like him
@Michael Rubin he liked the checks
For kids like me who were born in the 70's, all "Our Guys" are sadly passing on. R.I.P. to the man from Tehran, the Iron Sheik.
Iron Sheik at least lived a full life into his 80's. Lots of them have died way too young.
I dread the day Undertaker bites it.
@@jackdaone6469 C'mon man don't say that. My generation was 90's-00's, and I saw guys from the 70's-80's as old legends. It's sad that kids today see AE guys as ancient like I did the guys from the Golden Era. Time really does fly by
@@RaytheGrayt
Yeah. I’d hate to hear about Undertaker dying and Jim having to eulogize the guy.
So true 😢
RIP Sheiky baby he’s up there with Gene Mean now🙏🏼
And that "a stupid turkey...hock...pitui." 🤯
Braking Backs and making everyone Humble
Sheik: who’s this Jabronie doin in the drivers seat??
Kevin Nash: I’m not a Jabronie Sheik
Sheik: of course ur not of course!
The outpouring of love and admiration the people have shown the Iron Sheik in the 24 hours since his passing, it's been a beautiful thing to see, being a professional wrestling fan since I was 8 years old, I'm now 44 I always knew Iron Sheik was popular, I always knew fans loved him, but I had no idea, no clue he was loved this much, fans are legitimately sad over his passing, and I'm one of them #RIPIronSheik
Outside of his character, Sheiky is a humble , grateful, and loving guy to his peers and his fans. He entertains the fans in and out of the business with his ranting about Hogan and other stuff. So people love and respect Sheiky in his character, and outside that character as a loving father and a humble person. R.I.P Shieky
@@marvinleong5902 Well said my friend
Lanny Poffo, Bushwracker Butch, "Superstar" Billy Graham and now Iron Sheik has become a part of history now
Been a lot of big names in wrestling who have passed away this year and it’s only June.
Like George song goes... "Who's gonna fill their shoes". The Cuckamunga Kids?? Nah
Don't forget Superstar Billy Graham
@@jayharv285 there's no way we can forget. Billy was a champ.
I used to watch LANNY POFFO,SUPERSTAR BILLY GRAHAM,BUSHWACKER BUTCH,and THE IRON SHIEK.May they all REST IN PIECE
He was a tough SOB. RIP Iron Sheik!
Rest in peace shieky, loved his stories of being on the road and entertaining us all.
I was too young to ever really watch him wrestle, but seeing him on Howard Stern made me a HUGE fan of his later on.
I've been looking forward to hearing this. I'm really gonna miss Sheik. He was a true icon. He lived an UNBELIEVABLE life and became arguably the most famous Iranian in the world. RIP Sheiky Baby. I'll never forget you
Rip sheik thanks for so many great memories. You can finally rest and reunite with your daughter again.
Iron Sheik lifts my spirits and makes me smile when I watch his interviews. I was a toddler during his wwf run
This news hit hard. There's an outpouring of support on Twitter. He's already so missed 💔
I was at the NWA Legends Fanfest in Atlanta in 2011. The Iron Sheik had the longest line of autograph seekers in the whole hotel!
RIP the Iron Sheik. One of the best heel wrestlers and also one of the best pro wrestlers. Many people loved to hate him as a heel. The suplex machine before Kurt Angle. One of the most memorable matches for me is the Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff vs The American Express Mike Rotundo and Barry Windham at Wrestle Mania.
he won one of my favorite battle royals of all time. the gimmick battle royal in 2001 at mania
which jim commentated on
no wait... he was fuggin in the match lol.
@@melvinwren jim was in the match actually
RIP Sheik. He was a great heel and put over Hogan. Also, a legitimate athlete. I hope his family can find peace.
Whoever handles his Twitter should definitely continue it. It's a way of a legend living on.
Watched his documentary on here. His daughters are beautiful. It's a shame what happened to his one daughter. A great wrestler, for real, and a great heel. RIP.
This one was sad. Sheiky was amazing in the ring and hilarious out of the ring.
RIP Sheiky! 😔🙏❤️
Loved Sheiky. He was such a beast in his day. And a really great guy in rl.
It's hard to belive Sheiky Baby was that old. That means by the time I saw him when I was a little kid he was already almost 50! RIP champ. You were the real!
And an appropriate cartoon, The Sheik’s finishing move, the camel clutch! 👍🏻
The only man to have a beer belly AND a 6 pack. Simultaneously. Very impressive. RIP brother!
R.I.P. The Iron Sheik. Please put those jabronies Hitler, Stalin, Saddam, and Mao in the Camel Clutch and make them humble, Bubba.
Eddie and Pillman and piper and savage are all going "what the hell?!?! How'd he get in" all the while he's yelling at the Angels and calling Jesus a jabroni 😂 rip legend.
How to be a "HEEL" 101,
A Masterclass...
Rip sheik. A few stories I remember is there is a story where bruno Sammartino was cornered and several men started trying to fight him and the sheik came to defend him and they cleared all the men out. Also he was infamously on the prank call him did back in the day with the crazy old lady
Rest in peace Mr.Vaziri. One of my favorite human beings of all time. He will be missed.
His stories on the training camp are legendary, especially as pertaining to Flair lmao
That he made it through 80 is amazing. His body was fucked. Rest in peace baby
" Fuck the Monday " - Iron Sheik.
Between The Ring, The Shoot videos, and the amazing twitter and Facebook performance and quotes such as above.
Sheik was one of a kind.
He never dropped the gimmick.
RIP Iron Sheik! You have humbled the world. 😢
This passing has hit me a bit more then many other wrestlers. Wrestling was my childhood like a lot of others. I havent watched it in years but I absolutley hated him as a kid. Thats a the true test of a heel. Not only did i hate him everybody fucking hated him. The character he played was so well done. Fast forward to him post wrestling and I absolutley loved him. He was like that one drunk uncle we all have that has too many drinks and gets passionate about stuff we know nothing about but we listen and hang on to every word cause you know by the crackling and tone of the voice it meant something to him. He was a fucking gem and the world is a worse place today then it was before his passing. My favorite quote in wrestling " Ill Put him in the camel clutch , break his back and humble him " - Iron Sheik
There are also stories about how Sheik saved people lives like Bruno and Tony Atlas. Sheik is loved the world over.
Woke up on the 8th to find out he passed on my birthday. One of the worst gifts I've received in recent memory. RIP to a legend.
The Iron Sheik was truly an icon, may he rest in peace and condolences to his friends and family, he will be missed
R.I.P. Sheiky Baby! Thank you for the laughter! May you humble the angels!
Sheik & Nikolai vs Killer Bees had the most heat at WM 3! It rained boos & garbage down upon them from start to finish! "Iran number one! USA? Hock-toooey!!!"
The Iron Sheik humbled more men then abstract algebra
Iron Sheik also spent time in Stampede Wrestling in his early days. One of his bouts was against Kevin Sullivan who was also in Stampede briefly.
A big character and a great heel. Low key one of my favourites of the early Hogan years.
It's weird, everyone talks about how shocking and unbelievable Slaughter's heel turn was but they never acknowledge that the Iron Sheik, an Iranian, ended up supporting Iraq. The 2 countries hated each other (still do?) and the long bloody Iran-Iraq War was a very recent memory.
Oh yeah they still hate each other. But was he ever acknowledged as being the iron sheik? I can't remember and I mean it would be obvious but since it's wrestling I could see them trying to pass it off as a different guy. lol.
Especially since Sheik was in deep with the Shahs regime. He wasn’t just a guy from Iran, he had political connections. But then, maybe that’s a thing: he had no love for the ayatollah regime, so he could side with Iraq.
@@johansmallberries9874 I doubt it, he could still hate the ayatollah and iraq at the same time.
@@maxxdahl6062 that's a very good point. Didn't they give him a different name during the Heel Slaughter period? Colonel "Something"? Weird thing is I think the commentators mention his past tag title reign at a Survivor Series when he was this version, though not his Heavyweight title run. Might be wrong but I swear they joke about it on an OSW review.
@@jonbolitho-jones7614 Mustafa.
When Bob Backlund re-emerged in the 90s, it was like he may as well have been from the 1920s.
One of the greatest entertainers in the history of wrestling and lived the gimmick until the very end.
An absolute legend. A beast of a man and an incredible persona, but absolutely hilarious since retiring and never ceased to entertain. He always seemed to know exactly what he was doing. RIP Sheik. Everything is duller without knowing that he’s around.
Thanks for all the years of entertainment brother shiek, many blessings to you ~
A professional wrestler living to 81 is like a normal human being living to 141. RIP Sheiky baby
Someone who truly will be missed. One of the iconic wrestlers of all time, one guy I would always always get a kick out of on Twitter. His rants are legendary. Go with GOD, my friend.
The Iron Shiek was there before Ivan at the time, and there could not haven't been a better heel ,at the time and still to this day he is one of the top 10 heels of all time,He was an amazing specimen in the early days, like you said he was doing suplexes before anyone and knew where to set the opponent at rest in peace 🙏
Rest in Paradise tithe man I hated when I was a kid and liked when I became a teen . Who I loved when I became an adult rewatching his older matches seeing how much of a badass he was hearing the stories about him being a huge sweetheart and a true human being . A legend thank you for the great memories
FOREVER THE LEGEND. And what a life. Rest In Peace, Sheiky Baby!
Descanse en paz Jeque de Hiero.
Iron Sheikh was in Many High Level Amateur Wrestling Competition. Strong as an ox!!!! [ RIP]🙏
RIP Sheiky. You entertained inside and out of the ring in a way nobody else ever will.
Truly one of a kind bubba!
Last couple of years sheik was not doing any promos. Ive been looking always for him. I figured that his health was declining. R.I.P Iron Shiek. I will miss him.
Hated him as a kid...loved him as an adult!! RIP SHEIKY BABY. 🙏
My father was the one who got me into wrestling in the early Vince Jr era. The greatest time to be a wrestling fan.
Now with the evolution of technology, wrestling has vaporized kayfabe, in exchange for wresters telling stories to explain all the kayfabe, something I think takes away from it and pushes it in a new direction. Now when you see something, you wonder if it was real, and hop online to the several hundred wrestling channels to see the shoot on what really happened. Takes away so much guts, at least for me.
Obviously there is a huge demand for those questions, but back in the day, you used your own imagination to answer those questions, and that's what made it special.
I had the Hogan, Greg Valentine, Volkoff, and Big John Studd action figures and the ring. My parents got their money’s worth out of those toys. I played with the A LOT!!! RIP Shiek.
Sheik vs. Hogan was the first wrestling match I ever saw. RIP Sheiky Baby.
"Oh. F the commissioner" - Iron Sheik
Ivan koloff was asked to defeat Bob Backlund, but he wanted time off to tend to his injuries. I read that in his book.
RIP Iron Sheik. I crossed paths with him once back in the early 1990s,, and he was very nice to me.
Iron Sheik has some classic shoot videos; which are entertaining. He will be missed. RIP Sheiki Baby !!!
Although Ivan Koloff as the guy who beat Bruno AND Backlund and then losing to the Hulk Hogan would have been pretty sweet, I'd still rather have Sheiky Baby in that spot. Iron Sheik, number one! RIP
They said nothing could keep Shiek from Hogan other than death.
RIP, to one of the greatest heels.
His last tweet from himself was “FUCK YOU HOGAN”. My man went down swinging. RIP
We fans need to start a go fund me page for an Iron Sheik mural statue. On the plaque it needs to read "FUCK THE HULK HOGAN!!"
Rest in Peace indeed. A very strong man with a lot of skills. The McMahon family kept his wrestling skills under wraps. A very skillful wrestler. In a "world" where wrestlers don't make it past 40 or 50 at the most. Sheik lasted 81 years. Bruno was 83. DeNucci was like 83. That is not normal in this industry. Thank you for the skills.
82 is ancient for a professional wrestler. R.I.P. Sheik !
Along with Superstar Billy Graham and Sgt Slaughter, a true heel WWFworld champion who didn't pretend to toe the line. True he was a go-between for Backlund and Hogan, but he worked it
RIP Sheiky Bay Bay. up in the heavens breaking the backs of Jabronis & now Hall Hoe Gans you see you Jabroni you will be humbled.
I still say no heel has ever had more heat than The Iron Sheik did during the Iranian Hostage crisis 79-80. The perfect combination of gimmick and reality.
The first wrestling show I saw live was at the Kentucky State Fair in 1986. The first match I saw was Junkyard Dog vs Randy Macho Man Savage. The main event was Hulk Hogan vs The Iron Sheik w/ Slick just joining the WWF -oh the memories!!!! Also, the first WWF figures I got were Hulk Hogan and the Iron Sheik-Memories!!!
In Hulk Hogan's next book he'll say that he beat the iron Sheik for the wwf championship in 1984 and Sheik died a few months later.
RIP SHEIKY BABY!!
RIP Sheiky Baby. Rest well bubba
The match between him and hogan was what got me into pro wrestling when I was like 4 or 5.
FUCK THE DEATH. You give the grim reaper a suplex and make him humble. We will miss you, bubba!
“FOR SURE GENE MEAN YOURE ANOTHER ALL AMERICAN JEW-MAN!” - I.S. 🐪 1983 promo
I'm from Iran and I'm still can't believe we lost a hero ... rest in peace Khosrow ❤️
"10 inch"
I thought it was weird when he came back to WWE in 1991 as Colonel Mustafa. Even as a kid we all knew it was Iron Sheik. Like why wouldnt they want to capitalize on who he was?.
Sgt. Slaughter had joined the Iraqis. Iran had nothing to do with it. That's why.
@@goodday2760 You are correct. And I get that. But lets face it. most Americans are ignorant and think all those countries are the same. They would all fall under the "evil foreigner" banner in the cartoonish early 90s WWF.
One of the two greatest heels ever both he and classy Freddy blassy two men you loved to hate. RIP shiek
Just think how many young men The Iron Sheik inspired as an assistant coach to two different Olympic teams.
been waiting for this RIP Shieky thanks Jim
in Brian Last voice, mocking TK: "Thanks Jim"
Laughed my arse off when Sheiky had been told he'd tested positive for Cocaine. Due to his somewhat tenuous grasp of the English language he thought it was a good thing due to the word "positive"!
RIP Sheiky-baby.
"...what, in cockroach years?" funniest fucking thing i've heard in a while
15:45 in that world Shiek would arguably a top 10 guy.
The Iron Sheik is one of wrestling’s truest characters . He was more off the rails in reality than as a foreign heel
I remember when Mean Gene asked the Iron Shiek what his camel's name was. With a straight face he said George, but Gene cracked up.
The Sheik was strong as a bull. I heard a wrestler once say, he had the constitution of a rhinoceros, rest in peace, khosgrove.
They don't make heels like the Iron Sheik anymore. This man was a legend. He was legitimately a very strong man. There are not many guys that could do the exercise he did with those Persian clubs.
The Iron Sheik busted my moms laundry room window. I threw his rubber head on the floor and he bounced perfectly did a cartwheel in the air and flew right threw the glass. That was a major ass whipping i got....😂😂😂
I had that hard rubber action figure of the Iron Sheik. The larger one were part action figure, part foreign object if you were wrestling with your friends.
The legend of the Iron Sheik will live on!
I heard them referred to as dog toys lol
One of my first mental images of the Iron Sheik is the WWF LJN action figure like Brian said. I don't think wrestling historians truly understand how much those classic toys, especially the WWF ones though AWA did beat them to the table with the REMCO toys, really appealed to a generation. To this day, I have a Roddy Piper LJN with kilt in a shadow box with his memorial magazine from 2015 and a signed copy of his book hung on my wall in the office..... I have Hulk, macho, Elizabeth on the shelf in LJN form..... Heck, AEW even releases LJN style dolls today with Cody and Darby already getting one and CM Punk in the next wave...... The merchandising of classic WWF really helped make us kids who now are ticking over 40 become wrestling fans back then.
Were the LJN figures ever rereleased? Sheik had that Cool arm flex pose. I do remember the 'skin' or paint of those LJN figures would wear away easily.
@@jC-kc4si Yes, they were released in '85 through '89 as Hasbro took over the WWF toys at that point until 1996 when Jakks Pacific took over. LJN story. George the Animal Steele, in one of his last interviews, told me he would refuse to sign autographs for fans if the LJN they gave him had worn paint on the back of the boots and not the front because that meant they had him losing when they played. I think that's a stroke of genius. WCW released LJN like figures with the California Toy Company in '95 through'98 and AEW does one special one here and there. WWE has revisitted them with specials here and there, The Rock got one for example. But, yeah, there you have it.
Rip to the iron sheik one of if not the greatest heels ever
like brian Sheik was one of the first major heels i remember as a kid. later andre and nikolai. he was a great gimmick and impossible to forget for so many reasons (promos, ring attire [those curled boots], in ring work, etc). finding out about his background in Iran only made him more of an icon. then later his profanity laced tweets were constant content my friends and i would share in text messages.... RIP Iron Sheik
