I know it risks what you have setup in Luba but a real test would be to leave your phone at home, take Luba and then try to set it up at another location using a different phone and new account. Then see if your first phone pushes any notification to you. I believe this is the anti-theft procedure Mammotion has designed, or at least advertised.

no surprise there is no anti theft system built in the Luba. We all know there isn't.
However to use the stolen Luba the thief needs an RTK and needs to register and needs a charging station. The Luba name is unique so maybe Mammotion could tell if the same Luba reconnects to MM cloud? not sure. But as the thief needs an RTK AND a charging station - where is he getting this from? you can't purchase them individually at the moment. So I'd say a stolen Luba is useless unless the thief has already another Luba set up with RTK and needs to share the existing charging station. Not sure if that works - might do. Obviously that doesn't prevent someone from stealing it - the thief might just not know that Luba will not work for him.
I toy with the idea of adding a tracker to my Luba though. my front yard is quite open and it would be easy to quickly pick him up.

Agreed, the Luba really doesn't provide much security from theft. If I was really concerned though... I would use what I use on my dogs... the tractive Waterproof GPS Tracker. It cost $35 plus I paid another $70 for two years of service. I would attach it in way that difficult for a thief to take off and the software for this device allows me to set area boundaries so I would get alerts if the Luba left those boundaries. It also does a really good job of showing me on a map where it is and how far away it is and the direction, I need to head to locate it. Because I live in a very rural area... sometimes one of my dogs does escapes the backyard and wanders for miles... this device has saved me many hours wandering the woods looking for her! I normally get two weeks of battery charge on this device before it needs re-charging. Recharging it would be the only real hassle.

Here is what Luba told me about what would happen if it is stolen. I understand your concern about ensuring the safety and security of your LUBA to prevent theft.

Yes, the Luba lawnmower has an inbuilt GPS Anti-Theft feature. This feature uses GPS technology to track the lawnmower's location at all times. If the lawnmower moves outside of a designated area, you will receive alerts on your smartphone or computer. This can help deter theft and aid in the recovery of the lawnmower. Even if someone steals it and realizes they can't use it, you will still have a way to track its location and potentially retrieve it

There should be levels of alarm on it like trigger a noisy alarm if you pick it up and the phone is not in range, this should be user setable. there needs to be at least an option for a 4g module to track it/controll it without wifi. i normally hate when stuff upload stuff to the cloud but in this case it would be a good thing as it could report last position/where it's at when it gets power. I don't think i'll recomend this to my father in law, was looking good otherwise. Also, and i understand that you don't want to open it but it would not surprise me if by open it up you could factory reset it and register it again or something like that.
