Yes this was the 2nd year of going but the first to be able to film before the public arrived (which is really beneficial). Thanks for watching and pleased you got to see the show at least on video.
Great walkaround. I have a soft spot for anything rear engine, especially the old Skodas, so fab to see those. I especially like to see, and really appreciate, the classic 'ordinary' cars. I appreciate that the owners restore these cars, not because of any financial gain, or to own a status symbol, but simply because they love that particular car 👍🏻
Absolutely. As mentioned in the video I love Matthew’s Estelle… but he won’t sell 😁 When I talk to owners I ask them the questions… “how long have you owned it? and “what have you done to it?” and “do you think you will sell it one day?” Most tell me they have had it for years and would never sell. As you say, the dedication of owners to spend on cars without guarantees of getting the money back is great. Thanks for watching and your feedback.
I did like that green Streetwise. I tried to buy one new back in the day but the Rover dealer by the Lickey Hills didn't seem interested in selling me one. That was par the course at the time, amazing they sold any cars with that attitude! Some great cars on show, the gold Imp was the same as my dad's back in the 70's. He had 3 imps before buying a red Hillman Avenger then a Volvo 244DL. Thanks for the walk around, I used to go with my late uncle. he was restoring a Morris 8 when he died, hopefully his son will get round to finishing it off one day.
The green Streetwise reminds me that I need one in my life one day. Yes my late Father owned a 1969 Singer Chamois in red which is why I purchased my Imp. Thanks for watching the video and for your support.
Thanks for making the effort to do the video, just walking around the classic shows is a job in itself, never mind recording and narrating it as well. Anyone commenting about cars being missed out needs to bear that in mind! Kind of wished I'd been there so it's good to have the next best thing 👍
Thanks. Yes it is quite a thing to walk and talk… particularly at my age 😁 Although this time I at least had chance to film when the public weren’t there and then look around the show when it opened. You find when filming that you don’t really see the cars your filming! Thanks for watching and for your comment.
