I think the coaches tactics restricted Partey and that made it difficult for him to drive forward and give those incisive passes to the striker and wingers.The referee didn't help matters at some point in the game but the substitution from the coach was needless as well.Anyway like we always say,let's go back to the drawing board and strategise for our next match.I believe with this performance from our guys,South Korea and Uruguay will smell African pepper 🌶

Ghana needs to get two or three technical men to watch the match on screen and be communicating with the coach on the touchline. When watching on scree u can see certain things more clearly than on field. Its the same thing Egypt did in Afcoon 22. U can go watch their matches
The penalty was soft and should have at least been checked by VAR. I'm sure South Africans will be happy about this

Some and I repeat some (not all) of us Ghanaians are embarrassing and talk so badly about the coach. The subs the technical team or Otto Addo made were absolutely correct. Ayew and Kudus who is our best player as we know were both booked and at risk of getting a red card and Sent off and then "potentially" miss the next games. How can you justify to even risk that. Its not worth it at all!! Hence the reason why they were both taken off. (Ayew was more tiredness but also the yelliw card) The same way he did with Alidou Seidu who I must say played fantastic today and was lucky he wasn't Sent off for the Headbutt. If he kept Seidu on or Kudus and they get red carded It would have been the same ppl that would have said why didn't the coach take then off sooner. You can never win with this complaining nation. We’ll said but tactically I’ll say we did well in the first half well disciplined defense but bro this World Cup is not about respecting your opponents if that was the case teams like Saudi Arabia and Japan would have been sitting back waiting for Argentina and Germany respectively dictate the play but no bro they took the bull by its horns and went for it. Let’s be honest here the changes was poor. Yes it’s true they were both on yellow card but with your accession on this I think you got it wrong are you saying if a player even gets a yellow card at the start of a game the coach should sub that player. Come on bro those were Ghana’s best 2 players at that moment, the only players posing threats to the Portuguese defense. Immediately after the equalizer he should have just switched back to that first half tactical game for at least 5 minutes before the first substitution Portugal would have open up to get another goal which we would have had a counter play easily. Jordan Ayew was a wrong sub to be honest he messed up the game.

Thomas Partey should lift up his game, in the absence of Kudus he is the top man on the pitch, but it seems he is too lackadaisical that cause as too early quick goals.

Sime complain unnecessary keke....The subs were tactical and correctly executed from Addo. Both players Dede and Kudus were at risk of red cards its silly and pointless to lose our best players to a potential Red card and miss the next game or 2. It was never worth it, especially at that point Portugal was just sitting deep hoping for counter attacks. Our coach did a very good job and subbed on the right player who even got the 2nd goal for us. Full focus on Korea if we repeat this performance we have a chance to beat them. Otto Addo very well done
Correct me if Im wrong, did kudus not receive the yellow in the first half? Was he dangerous? Was jordan really the right decision? I agree with the dede's change though.
@@kimathicofie3641 he got the first yellow just before ending of the first half. But yes it was risky so he played up until 77th minute which was more than enough to risk him further. The coach also took Seidu off because he played very well and he also was in danger of a red card. Jordan was just unfortunate with the dispossession but it could have been any other player that came on who could have made that mistake too.
@@inthahous87 seidu was rush, kudus was not. It was obvious kudus was jittery in the first half and that is why he got the yellow. But he settled and shouldnt have been taken out. Seidu was amazing but rush and seriously was at a risk of being sent off. Infact he was lucky he wasn't at all. If players had to be taken off just because they had cards half the teams would be losing influential players to those decisions. Also looks like you are just making excuses for the Jordan issue. Jordan hasnt been at his best for a while for blackstars...Also he is not a replacement for kudus. Otto had this wrong in the second half...save for dede he had everything spot on in the first half. But second half he messed up. Just admit this. It doesn't hurt.

So losing a key player for 17 min plus injury time is better than losing him for a whole 90min we need him for the next games. I fully disagree. There is something called momentum, and those fully involved in the build up to the 1st goal would have their spirits lifted and they had momentum to continue on with a good performance. Taking them off kills that potential advantage. At the very least keep Kudus on, he was pretty much the only one taking the game to the Portuguese. It's not like he showed lack of discipline like Seidu did, he could have easily lasted another 5-10 minutes without getting into trouble. On top of that Jordan Ayew of all people being asked to play in Kudus' role was absurd, he was directly at fault for the 3rd goal we conceded. If it was Kyereh I might understand but Jordan Ayew? Senseless decision. Otto Addo threw this match.

VAR was created to assist only the European teams and is a shame that Moroccan American Referee decided to cheat us this way. Otu Addo also made a very very bad subtitutions in the second half especially by subtituting our only playmaker on the field Kudos Mohammed.

Alidu Seidu, what did I say about him? INDISCIPLINE. He was easily our best player today but needlessly gets a yellow card and had to be taken off at the risk of a red card. If Alidu Seidu was on the pitch that third goal would have never been scored. Going into tournaments, everything about players need to be assessed. You need players who are disciplined, players you can depend on for five or more matches. Kudus needlessly gets a yellow card and has to be taken off as a result. Bukari scores a goal and is needlessly celebrating instead of picking the ball to the centre area.
Alidu Seidu is very undisciplined. His fourth match for Ghana and had been carded every in all but one, a friendly match)

Jordan Ayew had no business in this game. Once he didn’t start I knew there was no purpose for him in this specific game. As soon as he enters he loses possession & we concede. I was very impressed with our defensive line. Alidu Seidu plays with so much passion. Kudus should have never been substituted because he started to gain momentum. Andre Ayew should’ve been subbed for either Kyereh or Elisha to calm down the midfield. Ati Zigi had a solid game & none of the goals were his fault, he even guessed the right direction of Ronaldo’s penalty but the power on the shot was too much. The Bukari substitute was clearly the right decision since we scored. I also believe Odoi should’ve came in for Alidu & not Lamptey for defensive purposes since the game was tied 1-1. Hopefully we qualify but I’m disappointed in the result. Should’ve have been a draw at the very least. Silly errors & lack of discipline cost us this game & should be fixed immediately for the next match or we are going home.
