As a recovering addict that has had toxic relationships I see both sides, and addiction is very much like a toxic relationship. This song will hit on those that don't know addiction because we all habe had our toxic relationships at some point. But the drug reference is perfect. It really shows the relationship you have with the drug, no one wants to be an addict, it's that toxic kind of love. "I need you but I hate you. I want you but I should walk away."
