Got to the forth stage, used those two items and just bought 4 smart bombs with the remainder cash to be safe, got to the boss no problem in 30 seconds with 3 smart bombs left, used all 3 on the boss which killed him with out me needing to do anything, and it got me over 100k thank you!

Yes! I Did it! I got around 20,000 points on level one and then followed the rest of the guide-ish, but I just use the big wings for level 1 and 2 as the jet engine is to fast for me (I can't move right for the bosses it's so fast). Then level 3 I go ape and buy the jet engine and 7 way shot killing everything to get to the 3rd boss. The 3rd boss was my pain, but I figuered out if I could at least destroy the beam bits either at the bottom or top (Depends where you are)... I could use them as safe spots if he went to far up or down, but then doing damage till it's lazer bits are all red and then going for the kill (otherwise he becomes OP and follows you around the screen to get close to you!). Then go to the shop and buy the 7-way beam again and you should have 100,000 points before getting to the boss fight on level 4! Not gonna lie... it took me a hour to git gud as I kept being a noob and letting myeslf get sucked into a trap with all the baddies flying about. I don't know how many times I've died to a butt beam shot from an enemy... it feels like BS, lol. ; D
No problem dude! About flying fast, you want to buy either the big wings or turbo engine. You will lose your speed boost upon death, so play carefully! I recommend the turbo engine!
Yeah, I realized in my impatience that I had clicked over the part at the very beginning where you bought a turbo engine. lol. I was so damn frustrated! That speed made all the difference.

Sadly, even with these max upgrades the second-final and Final Boss is near impossible.
How do you use the smart bombs? I buy and use them, but it seems as if they do nothing to the boss.
