    My husband and I live on less than 65,000 a year, two people,, we both work full-time Amazon, the largest return center, we process the returns. We've probably processed everybody's returns on this channel, luckily I bought a house in 2005! The house will be paid for in about two and a half years and the cars are completely paid off!! After that our bills will be a total of $800 a month, for two people, that means I will have to come up with $400 and he will have to come up with $400 for the month!!! Not counting groceries, or whatever expenses might arise but still!!

    I thank my lucky stars that I am debt free. My house and cars are paid off. My credit card balance is zero. The biggest bills I have now are homeowners' insurance and property tax, both total $337.00 per month.

    Cost us 1580 a month plus gas and food which is flexible. debt free in WV for 5 BR 5 Ba home with pool, 2 cars and motor home. Don’t believe the hype unless you want to borrow.

    • @HMFamilyLife
      @HMFamilyLife  3 месяца назад +5

      It's hype alright but it's much more. It is a way to condition people into "believing" you need to make hundreds and thousands of dollars a year to live a comfortable lifestyle in the USA, which most people don't, and so it gets discouraging for people. Like we said in the video, keep following the Joneses instead of doing it your way and you will NEED that. The hype has gotten out of hand as far as we're concerned. Sounds like you have a comfortable lifestyle in the USA for less than $1,600 a month. Well, what do you know! Thanks for sharing that --it's very encouraging for people to know. Blessings!

    Barter system is weights and measures too. bartering is great. people did it everyday in the past. if you were a farmer you'd trade your produce or livestock for another merchants product etc. or just barter anything you don't need with someone else who has something you need. bartering should be commonplace

    • @HMFamilyLife
      @HMFamilyLife  3 месяца назад +2

      It should be more common. I've been bartering/trading with people for years. We think it will become more popular in the future.

    Yes we can live more comfortably if we make some very basic changes to our habits…having said that, life today is definitely more expensive and tougher to get by. The 80’s are long gone.
    Here’s my example. Western NY, 1990. We bought a wonderful ranch, $71k at 11% interest. We loved that house and would move back there again in a heartbeat. Same house now is about $260k. At 7% interest rates, that same house is unaffordable for most people.

    Definantly a con job. It does NOT take that much to live comfortably in the U.S. we just moved back to the U.S. after living abroad for 2 years and have only been back forabout 2 months now and I can tell you, even living in Florida it doesnt take that much. Atleast not in this area

    Uh-oh....according to that map...I should not be living anywhere NEAR comfortable on my approximately 20K a year. I would be classified as extreme poverty. And yet--As a retired single lady, with zero debt and all my needs met, I thought I was pretty comfortable. Maybe there's a difference between people with modest homes, and an average car---and those with huge expensive homes and fancy cars. Do they need that kind of money to make the payments on their high lifestyles? I can't imagine being a slave to debt. No thanks!
