I have gone both ways with the Belgian Draft mules I worked with . . . but because my roaching skills were fairly minimal I decided to let their manes grow long. I combed them regularly because of the burrs they picked up while skidding back in the woods, which kept them looking pretty good. I never messed with their tails except burr removal which was constant.
Keep and eye out for meteorites. They can be worth quite a bit. I'd take one of those collapsible magnets so you can check possible finds from the back of the mule.
Thanks … Phil and I have known each other for a long time ..roped a lot of steers with him .. you and I still have to get together and do a live stream
@@BrettVaughnB100 you just let me know when suits you...I might have to do a small trial run to make sure my internet service is good enough to keep up with live...my Instagram account has had problems loading lately so if you can't get ahold of me on that try Facebook messenger...thanks for everything you do!
Live'n it with ya!! 2 is 1 and 1 is none. It works with mounts too ! I rode a fair piece North of you outside Las Vegas NM. A little different at 7500 ft.
G'day Brett glad you dodged the snakes for the day.Back in April we lost a horse to a Tiapan out here ain't nothing you can do for them as the venom works so quick. Keep on hunting mate 👍
That’s great glad you like them Nick …I’ve been lazy here lately and too busy with work to get any out ..of course you know how much work it takes to make them
I vote for the roach job on the mules brother .. 👍 .. now the bell deal to this ole mule man spells “watch out she’s a kicker “ just my lil vote .. if you like the mane I’m with you .. every man to his own .. enjoyed the visit at the end of the video , I got a good chuckle out of it .. Yes, Onward and Upward is the Watchword..
Was it you that commented telling me I needed one ? Someone in the comments said I needed a pocket watch so I told my wife and she bought me this one ..thanks !
Just a few weeks ago in northern California a 71 year old woman was mauled, killed, and eaten by a black bear. June 2023 a man was killed by a black bear near Prescott, AZ. Wildlife seems to be getting really wild lately. I live up in the mountains, I do not hike am very careful about going out after dark. We have mountain lions, black bears, wolves, and wild pigs. We have all of the citiodts come up here, and they love to hike. God Bless them.
Definitely roach the manes. Who wants a sexy mule mistaken for an ugly ol’ horse? I like bell tails, too. I at least shave the top of the tail bone where the crupper/britchen goes.
@@BrettVaughnB100 my cousin and I went in a cave once looking for a lion. He ran through us to get out of the cave, knocking us both down on the ground. I felt like I was hit by a huge linebacker😂

Thanks!
Thanks so much!! Your welcome .. what part of the content do you like ? Or would like to see more of ?
I never roach my mules! You never know when you need to grab mane when your on the trail.
I guess thats true lol .. Thanks
I like the shaggy mane. If you had a working pack string, bells would be helpful but not needed for most of us.
The shaggy mane has never bothered me really …thought I might just clean up a little ..trim my beard and roach the mules lol…thanks

You bet ..thank you !
