    If the pastor of the church never preaches about how people will go to hell without Jesus Christ as their savior, thats a red flag!

    • @joeswartz8286
      @joeswartz8286 9 месяцев назад

      Yes, we introduce the love and sacrifice of the Lord Jesus to win people to His salvation by scaring the Hell out of them. Preaching Hell does not produce genuine belief although it is an important subject and could be a motivation to seek Him. Hell did not scare me from sin but love of Jesus brought me back and His blood covers me forever. Our minds should be on that, not on a place we will never see.
      What you said is right, though. I am just adding a little detail. 😊👍

      @@JasonShoots it is not what I want, it is what my heart yearns and that is the truth. I been for the past 10 years looking for a church after the first one I used to attend to I went through spiritual and physical abuse. It is a lack of trust. When someone has suffered abused for so long, it creates difficulty in trusting even when a true believer comes in the lufe of this person to help, the wounded person is terrified because it has never known true love. And only the power of God,.His love and grace that helps a person to not be afraid and allow the loving embrace and be lead to trust for the first in the one who gave His life. My hope in God is to trust and believe that I am.loved. For I have never knlwn the love of an earthly father, which has left me to never experience a father's love, protection, discipline whuch is why it has been a struggle in trusting people. I long to have true fellowship with true believers, but most importantly with the Heavenly Father.

      That old saying is logically kind of silly. If it's an actual church you found that means there would already be people (or believers) there. Why are you t the one that makes it imperfect? Is everyone else there perfect?
      Yes, I know the point is to point out that that you are not perfect, but still. Maybe, a better saying is the only perfect church is an empty one. But then that's just describing a building. Let's just say, there can't be a perfect church because a church is made up of (sinful) people.

    It's a thing that the Spirit will take us through. Dump our selfishnesses. Don't chose a church that meets your freshly needs. I started with the holy rollers, learned, heard, one day the Holy Spirit told me to get up & run. Today I'm in the right place but I gained a lot of wisdom & understanding about denominations. The worst mistake which leads to backsliding is giving up & staying out of church because you don't trust. That's satans tactics. Stay in the Word, study, pray always, we grow fast that way. I've sat under calvanism before till it was time to leave I believe I finally arrived where I should be but just don't give up thinking "you" are the one to find that perfect church. My sister likes to chose or judge churches on how they make her feel, she's always off the rails. Let the Holy Spirit lead us

Some of the 17 were obvious, such as Biblical preaching, and being involved in both local evangelism and world missions. Others included transparency (the church I left was secretive), financial soundness (the church I left always seemed to be in a financial bind), Biblical singing (the church I left sang many Biblically inaccurate songs), variety of age, race, spiritual maturity, occupations (I visited one church where 90% were white medical professionals in their 30s [I asked]), et cetera. • @krakoosh1
      @krakoosh1 Год назад +2

      Depends on what you mean by outreach. Modern western Christianity, outreach means spending tens of thousands of dollars on people who are not saved thinking giving them money and things is going to save them. We are told to help our brothers. The church under the apostles came together and sold their belongings and gave to the apostles to help believers. Acts tells us that it was given to everyone so that none had any needs. As a believer when I’ve needed help i couldn’t get any. Yet nonbelievers come to churches and are given much. I’ve been out of work, especially after 9/11. Do you think anyone invited me to stay at their home and feed me while i was homeless and jobless? No. The teaching from Jesus that when we become believers we will have many homes and mothers and brothers is talking about exactly this thing. Christians around the world struggle to eat everyday but the church wants to feed those who don’t believe. I spend time doing missionary work in other countries besides the US. Ive seen first hand how it doesn’t work. The parents of the kids will send their kids to the missionary who gives them the most food and provisions. Insee this even in the US. Go into the poor areas in any city and look at all the homeless and addicted that roam around these mission homes for their entire life and never come to know Jesus and get healed from their sins. They are only there for the handouts. As God said, don’t cast your pearls before swine. Most pastors teach this means, do not share the gospel with those who are hostile to God and the gospel. Well who else needs to hear the gospel the most? Many people, like myself, who spent their lives cursing at God and were angry and hated Him, were saved because we heard the gospel. When Jesus sent the disciples out He said, tell of the coming of the Messiah, and if any reject it, shake the dirt off your shoes and move on.

      The world is full of many ways to try to appear to be the original authentic Christian Church. There is only one way to truly be authentic as the Church Christ and the Apostles founded, and that is to belong to that one and same Church which Christ himself established along with the Apostles. Some try being Jewish, some try by speaking in tongues, using Jewish names, and language, some think it's carrying a bible, reading the bible, keeping the Jewish Holy Days, calling days of the year pagan or finding righteousness in the law, and Jewish food distinctions, all of which is in vain. All of this is nothing more than to appear authentic when they are not. There are millions of self-ordained "ministers", not to mention the countless "Evangelists", "Apostles" "Deacons" and so called, "Brothers and Sisters in Christ" all claiming to be God's elect. You mention Jewish food laws.
      The idea of animals being clean or unclean seems to have been known to Adam and Eve, given the nature of Abel's sacrifice to God.
      And Noah knew the difference between clean and unclean animals.
      Noah wasn't even a Hebrew or Israelite, let alone a Jew.
      Why do you think all animal flesh is suitable for man to eat?
      So I take it you would eat all manner of meat which is poisonous to man? Like polar bear liver? Or an entire fugu?
      There is no evidence in scripture that the apostles broke the food laws.

      @@geordiewishart1683all animal meat is good to eat according to genesis 8 or 9. When God told Noah to he is to now eat meat. God also told us, no food is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving. Abels sacrifice being acceptable to God had nothing tondo with clean or unclean animals. God compared Cain’s offering of fruit, which was not acceptable to cover ones sin. Death from the beginning was the payment of sin. Abel’s offering was an animal sacrifice, a death, for his sins.

    AT 1:26, HE TALKS ABOUT THE 5 "SOLAS". Let's see what the Bible says about #2, (saved by) "faith alone". Are we saved by faith alone, or faith PLUS works? Let's see:
    James 2:24 "A man is justified by works, and NOT by faith alone".
    In verse 26, we read Faith without works is dead!
    Galatians 5:6 says "Only thing that counts is faith working in love.".
    1 Cor. 13:2 says "faith without love is nothing".
    Jesus tells us in John 14:15 "If you love Me (Christ), keep My commandments".
    And Matthew 19:16-17 warns us "if you wish to enter into eternal life, keep the commandments"!
    It's very much like a typical car. It has an engine and a transmission. Faith is like the engine producing power. But without the "transmission" of ood works to apply the power of Faith to our life, the car isn't going anywhere!
    Good works have more to do with living in accordance with God's word, than being a good person, though God does want us to be good toward others because goodness towards others may well be what's needed to draw them towards God.

    How does one become a child of God?
    By receiving the Spirit of God, which is also the Spirit of Christ, which makes them like Christ, and consequently heirs with him. This Spirit is given through the mercy of God, to those who exercise faith, as Paul says: "But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." Titus 3:4-7.

    • @krakoosh1
      @krakoosh1 Год назад

      You said the Holy Spirit is given to those who exercise faith, then use a scripture that says nothing bout that. Scripture says without God first giving faith we cant have any. Exercising faith would be a work that has to come first before we are saved and sealed. John 6:44, no one can come to Jesus unless the one who sent Jesus first draws him. Faith is the work of the Holy Spirit doing works through us. “Faith is an action taken upon a belief.” -Todd Hartmann

    27 If some speak in a [strange] tongue, let the number be limited to two or at the most three, and each one [taking his] turn, and let one interpret and explain [what is said]. etc. the formal programmed meeting does not allow for you to obey the Lord in this way and so Christ fullness of Christ is not expressed.

    This argument amounts to Todd saying "if a church don't meet my criteria, run from it". The interesting part about his "Bible alone" criteria is that all of traditional Christianity claims the same bible is the source of their beliefs, and yet all of the denominations have found equally different ways of calling God a liar. If the Bible was truly the sole source of their beliefs, Catholicism and Protestantism wouldn't exist.

    • @krakoosh1
      @krakoosh1 Год назад

      You’re wrong. It’s the bibles criteria Todd says must be met, not his own. You lump all protestant churches into one camp as if they all are christian. Most of them are not. These are the churches Todd is saying to get away from. Most modern day churches reject the word of God as being the truth and rather as a book with some good morals in it. You have many that say, throw out the Old Testament, its useless to christianity, like Andy Stanley. Most of this teaching comes from Bart Ehrman, who is a bible scholar, who teaches in a christian college, who does not believe in the God of the bible. Yet he writes many books on the bible that seminaries use to teach the next generation of pastors and missionaries.

If you want to move out and don't have the finances to do it, there are plenty of organizations you can work in where you will be provided a place to live. However, you will have to work hard, and you will lose many of the comforts you have now living with your parents. But, it may be worth it if you are experiencing abuse, or are stuck in a rut with no means of escape. Some examples: Job Corp, YWAM, US Armed Forces.
