Custom 3D printed 8" Neo Subwoofer

Just something random I put together lol. It has a total of 4 - 1.5" diameter, 3/8" thick neo magnets. 2 on the outside and 2 in the center of the coil. lordofbass soft parts from ebay and 3d printed the basket.
Only 1 coil (dual 4 ohms) hooked up in the video. It moves a bit more with both coils hooked up.
It's not efficient at all and cooling sucks, but it was for fun :) Maybe I'll make another one taking what I've learned.

not sure, maybe something wasn't glued down all the way. but i can't really hear much mech noise.

Put a dustcap so it will make the sound lot better

Pretty sure adding it into an enclosure will make it sound a lot better. Dust cap doesn't do much if anything for the sound... it keeps crap out of the motor, that's it's only real job, but that motor isn't enclosed anyway so a dust cap is 99% useless.

@@roblox_progamers1104 I said 99% useless for this particular design... the motor is so open that what is the dust cap supposed to even do? It's like having a gate but with no fence... it's pointless in this design case demonstrated in the video. The dust cap is supposed to stop things from getting into the motor and coil but you can see that it's wide open from the external motor.
