Oof, preparing those nails, adding yellow bushings and gluing balls probably was a TREMENDOUS amount of work 😲 Still, thank you for this video, really inspiring and well-executed! 🌟👍
It's more of a simple concept than much of your other devices. But setting up all those nails look far more tedious than anything else you've done! You have the patience of a saint to do all of those! You have my eternal respect.
I don't know how this video appears here in eastern Europe, but thank you, it was a huge satisfaction. Female engineers are rare, and I have huge respect for that.
Pretty cool looking. I think I would have printed the yellow tubes with an internal wall a few mm from the ball bearing end. Make them easier to position the same height. I did something like that for holding dremmel tools. I printed a case from filament with threaded holes and then threaded inserts that held the shafts from tough resin with a little bit of spring grip.
If you design the nail-cutting jig to be taller, you wouldn't need to shim each one before cutting. You could make the uppermost section of each hole looser to make it easier to push in and pull out, too. You could even incorporate the final grid into this cutting jig to save you from taking them all out and reinserting.
I believe that beveling the sharp back edge of the windmill "blades" to a steep slope, would reduce the noise a bit. The pins would slide down that quickly, instead of slamming down from a small freefall.
ENGLISH SPEAKERS: in the description, they said use subtitles! they have an english translation, dont just click off the video because you dont understand it! this seems like a very tedious project, so dont let them be confined to just a japanese audience! their content does look really cool and id probably be watching them a decent amount in my free time
This is so cool! I could watch it for hours. What's the name of the song you used? I've heard it in other stuff but I never got an answer from anyone else lol
Just found your channel from this video. I love it. I have a question though, what program are you using for the modeling work? Looking forward to the next video.

Thank you for adding English subtitles! I love your work, and am happy that I can follow along better now 😁 Looking forward to your next project!
just read your comment as i finished the video with subtitles turned off
@@cool_bug_facts I guess I got lucky to have watched Primitive Technology vid a little earlier 🤣
It looks like magic when it's the indentation plate, but the positive indent plate is mesmerizing. Very cool project, very well executed.
agreed, the way the balls hide the indent makes it look like theyre just magically held in place, such a cool little project

The things you come up with are always so fascinating. Love your work.

Art meets engineering, I love it!!! It would also be really cool to reuse this idea for a clock.
I don't know how this video appears here in eastern Europe, but thank you, it was a huge satisfaction. Female engineers are rare, and I have huge respect for that.
I absolutely love your videos! They're a great source of inspiration for my own making, and btw thank you much for including subtitles! :)
You are such a brilliant designer and fabricator. It as an absolute delight and pleasure to watch your work. Thank you so very much 🙏🏾

This is such a simple but smart design. Looks great! Keep it up!
That looked so mesmerizing! The concave version looks the best with the marble, but without the marble, the two version is incredibly interesting
The windmill version sounds good 👍

That's insane! What a crazy amount of work for such a pretty effect.

Wow, that is fantastic, I could watch it all day! Great work!
Beautiful. The reflection of the nails on the ball is neat!
this made me happy. thank you.

This is so cool, very mesmerizing to see built as well as see functioning! Excellent work!
As always this is incredible. I was impressed with the time and efforts involved on the making of this one.
This is some fine engineering right here.
looks great. my clumsy hand would never able to do half of those "nailing"
This is so cool and creative!
What 3D modeling software was used for design?
9:27 Why don't you use "Euler spiral" as top surface pattern?
What program did you use to make this?! it looks incredible by the way!

amazing!
Super cool! My favorite one is the concave version, it looks like the balls are moving by themselves
Thank you for the subtitles!!

Great idea! Love it!
Was für ein cooles Gerät! Du bist besonders fleißig. Dein Video war mega entspannend und unterhaltsam! Immer etwas Cooles!
Can you share the AliExpress link to the part you're using to drive the motor?
What is the part called underneath? Where can I buy this?
Just found your channel from this video. I love it.
I have a question though, what program are you using for the modeling work?
Looking forward to the next video.
I use Rhinoceros.
Thanks and have a good one.
