This performance is from 2017 "The Wings Tour Final" concert . It was performed at Gocheok Skydome. They held sold out concerts for 3 days in a row there with 60k tickets sold. So it was 20k people in video you seen.
Nowdays concerts on different scale. BTS doing stadium tours 40-60k people/each no matter where their concert is held. Last year they sold out Wembley stadium in 90min. So they added another date there and that one was sold out too.

I love RM's burns, he makes you stop and think about how you just got insulted. Sometimes you might even have to break out the dictionary, a thesaurus, and a culture study just to figure out how bad you just got roasted.

The power of BTS? They got a stadium full of people to scream at the top of their lungs without hesitation or shame that they love themselves. I think that's an amazing feat in and of itself.
You are right about RM/Kim Nomjoon being the English speaker/leader/ guy sitting in the passenger seat on carpool.. and J-Hope has the best energy in the group he's always laughing and smiling during interviews, he's also the choreography captain (the one who learns the dances first and teaches the rest of the group) and was a hip hop dancer before bts

@@zhinvandewok3732 I think when he changed it to RM, most people just assumed that it was for Rap Monster. But from what I remember, RM wanted it to mean whatever he wanted it to mean. A personal thing for him to decide what the letters stand, and that it could change when he wanted it to. So some people use his definition of Real Me but I think RM is more of a fluid name, that could mean anything he wants it to.

For me these three are the pillars of bts. They do a lot of songwriting and producing. Suga, the one with the hoodie, is known to produce a lot of songs outside of bts. RM, the cool one who sat in front of carpool karaoke, is the group leader and he does a lot of songwiting. Jhope, the energetic one with sparkly hat, is the performance leader. They're part of the original lineup before the name was set to bts (originally a hiphop group, not an idol group). Each of them has very distinct style of rap it's refreshing to see the dynamics.

Suga, the blonde, was sick the night of that performance, and the DJ is Supremeboi. He was originally signed by Big Hit, BTS’s label, to be an idol, but decided he would rather produce and rap. This is one of my favorite performance vids. As for crowds, BTS filled Wembley Stadium which holds 90,000 people in London in less than an hour and a half.

Cypher pt 3 (the verse RM did here) was pretty much the first song I heard from them other than some clips of Idol and Boy with Luv and I was very surprised and very hooked. Suga's rap is what really drew me in just because I loved how intense it was but I also really enjoyed how they all had different styles! But when I found a few good translations/explanations of it I was even more blown away. RM truly is a genius, especially with language. Off the top of my head a few of the parts I thought were super cool were:
One line he ends with "beast mode" in english and the next he says in korean something like "when men smoke and women smoke wind I smoke beat" (smoke wind apparently means have an affair) then he switches back to english to rhyme "this is a beat smoke" with beast mode from the line before
when he says "i'm not a Buddha but I'm a butcher" he says Buddha in korean which sounds very similar to butcher in english
he says (in korean so I might not remember this well) "turn the beat backwards you're a sewer and I'm savory." I think if you switch the syllables of the korean word sewer it becomes savory which i think is a saying in korean
sorry for the essay I just feel like a lot of people don't get to truly appreciate some of the nuances of their songs especially just from the lyric videos and it blew me away when I read more about the cyphers! also sorry if any of this is wrong I'm sure someone will correct me if it is! this was just from memory :)

I was there that day and I can tell that the energy was as crazy and intense as it looks! This is still the best concert from BTS ever (in my opinion), and this medley for sure contributed for it! This was back in December 2017 at Gocheok Dome - Seoul!

i think the fact that bts covers so many genres of music is part of why they're such an international phenomenon. "kpop" sounds so generalized, they're so much more than pop and i love seeing people get into rapline tracks because they could be an entirely different group on their own. i really hope the three of them do projects together down the road when bts goes their separate ways.

Well, as we all know Jhope is a dancer and a freestyle dancer, I think this kinda explains his body expression and the swag while he's rapping and his style of rapping in generally. So it's coming from his inside (as a passionate and a great dancer that he is) and his ability to move his body (perfectly ❤️) with the beat. That's my opinion at least. Not to mention that he wasn't familiar with rapping before BTS and now we clearly see what a GREAT rapper he has become and how hard he worked. I'm so proud of him !

RM is the one who can speak English. He's the leader of BTS and tends to be levelheaded. J-hope is the wild and fun loving one in the rap line. He a bit of a hype man too. J-hope is also the dance leader of BTS. He and Jimin (pretty boy, not in this video) are award winning dancers. Suga, guy with the blond hair in this video, is kind of introverted and you don't fuck with him. He been through a lot (grew up in poverty, went through serious depression and suicide attempts... He made songs about these things. Check out August D - The Last. August D is his solo stage name). But he's a great lyricist. Suga and RM produce a lot of BTS songs. And J-hope is over the dancing and the staging of BTS shows. Suga has a lot of input in sound editing in their performances. RM is their spokesperson for the press and handles conflicts. You gotta get into the dance line. That's J-hope, Jimin, Jungkook (main vocalist of BTS), and they added V to the dance line not too long ago. And since I'm already ranting, the vocal line is Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, and V.
Since you're into the rap line, you should check out all of Suga solo stuff under the name Agust D. All the cyphers. Also Ddaeng. And Respect. And RM has a lot of good solo stuff too.

Pretty sure 40,000 were at this concert. Venue sold out for multiple days in a row. Biggest concert they ever did was for 60,000...that one too was sold out two nights in a row. And NOT in Asia. Truly fucking global. We are ARMY!

I was in that concert.. and there was 22k people, exactly. It was huge honor to hear cypher medley live.. that was my first BTS concert and also legendary one. Though I was in 4th floor(highest floor), when they perform cypher.. UGH that was crazy. ALL the people in the venue went crazy. It took time to get myself from the heat..
Oh and that was 2017 december. The final seoul concert for wings tour. It was 3 days concert and the recorded one is last day! (I was in first day one) now they perform in even bigger one. In korea they hold in jamsil olympic stadium which hold 50k people(in 2018, 2019 concert they did in there) and they can drag more people, but that one is biggest venue in korea so..
hope you attend to US bts tour! It will really worth.. and those are bigger scale😂

Just FYI, namjoon=RM=the middle guy, he was told by doctor his vocal cord is too weak to be a singer. So he rap. He started rapping since like 10, and performed in underground rap world when he's only 14. also he was a top 1% student, but gave up University to pursue music career.
Suga=the guy checked his watch, writing songs since 13. family had financial problem couldn't support his dream to become a song writer, so he had to work part time beside school and training. One time he got hurt at work, lied to the agency. when they found out, they helped paid his school fee.
J-Hope was a dancer, he started rapping since he joined the team. But he's not sure about himself, almost quit. But other members asked him to stay, RM even told the company they couldn't do this without him.
