I agree with Hongjoong here cause like… you’re going to run into people that are better than you always so if you react to another situation the same way, then you’re trapped in the same cycle and it’s your responsibility to break that cycle. It’s like blaming others for your insecurities when that doesn’t have anything to do with them.
This is very Hongjoong and San coded cus since Hongjoong is a leader, he would want/wish for things to be better or get to the root of the problem so they would be better and lead a better life for themselves. He's basically thinking as a leader. Whereas San is the emotional support in Ateez as he always empathizes and comfort other members during their hard times. San always relates to a member/friend. Such contrast of personalities but work very well when together ❤
I don't think the writer feeling insecure is entirely his fault. This situation is kind of complicated, and I empathize with the writer, because I have been in this situation. I will share my own story - I am a twin. In school, my twin was always ahead of me when it came to studies, and I was above average (but still good). But I was always made to feel like I am in the bottom rankers because of the constant comparison from the teachers. I make one mistake and they would criticize me and compared to my twin, which was quite unnecessary. It's not like the other top scorers were compared to low scoring kids but why was I subjected to this? But I never felt resentful towards my twin in this case as I paid no heed to those teachers. I was good enough, I did not owe them to be a top scorer. If you are by yourself, people would not care but if there is a sibling who is better in anything there are always Comparisions. Insecurity is something you have to work upon yourself, and if there are others involved that make it worse for you, it is better to maintain some distance.
i understand both hongjoong and san 🤔 it went too far with the crush which is really sad for the writer but in the end, his younger brother can't be blamed for others actions. The writer should try to free himself from his surrounding and find something else to enjoy
It's really hard to be compared to your sibling... imo neither the writer or his brother did anything wrong, it's more that other people are being inconsiderate by unnecessarily comparing them (and being just rude honestly, if someone's been there longer and you don't know their name that's on you for not learning and not on the writer for "not being memorable" or something). Like why would you tell someone that their brother is better than them unprompted? I feel like most of them missed the point there, I don't think the writer would feel insecure if they were being compared to someone else in general, but it hits harder when it's someone close to them.
i'm the kind of person who feels easily insecure but i know it's my problem so I love San for being empathetic 🥺But i side with Hongjoong.. I wish there were more episodes this show is so interesting! I like seeing different sides of Ateez and getting their opinions on various topics 💙
I just love how empathetic San is and how honestly he expresses them. I hope San comes to such shows more often so that we can get to see his personality more closely.❤😊
I’d like to be on the writers side because we’re all human, we all get jealous over something, but he should use this feeling as motivation and not for hatred towards his brother. He should stay in the tennis club because he enjoys playing and focus on becoming a better player for himself. If his crush doesn’t see his worth, he should distance himself from them and find someone better. I hope the writer gets past this and finds happiness. I love Hongjoong and San in these episodes and them showing us more of their kind hearts ❤❤
San is such an empath, his mbti really suits him (infp) and Im really happy he sided with the writer because honestly even if the change has to happen with the writer, I’m sure he also needed someone siding with him.
@@YoursTAngelWell tests are always random, I made the same answers and it gave me different mbtis each time😂 I think just by observing san’s behaviour, how he acts, how he talks, his personality etc. I can confidently say he’s an INFP. Of course I know we don’t know these idols personally, but this is just how I see him. Tests are often inaccurate, I rely more on what I see and observe (as someone who studied psych)
I “study” MBTI like the talk show host Ralral 😅 Sannie is DEFINITELY not an INTJ. He probably can be if he sets his mind on work, and they HAVE been working a lot, which is why maybe his MBTI has changed during the period. But as an MBTI enthusiast, he is MOST DEFINITELY the INFPs of the INFPS 😂❤
@@animegirl1414_random couldn't agree more! 👏 as a person who's been in a relationship with an intj for 10 years, i can definitely say that sannie acts and behaves NOT LIKE THEM AT ALL. even by only observing him from aside. the infp (or maybe isfp) description suits him a lot
Instead of him feeling insecure i think it's more about others making him feel that way. It's bound to get on your nerves if someone constantly tell you that you're Inferior to someone. not to mention saying this to someone is just plain rude.
They're saying he should be more confident but not considering how for his brother, it's way easier to be confident when people think you're cooler and better looking. I think people like to divorce social standing and self esteem when they go hand in hand. I think rather than blaming the writer for feeling inferior, which honestly who wouldn't in that situation especially if your personality isn't super outgoing and strong, he should talk to his brother about this and maybe his brother could make more efforts to include him more and help lift up his confidence
5:43 idk why i want to cry at this part, as someone who ever had low self-esteem before, San really knows how to give empathy to people who need it 🥺❤️🩹 it would be nice if there's someone being on your side, listen to your story first instead of judging and after that give advice & encourage. We need someone like San in our life. And i hope San also have someone who he can lean on im his life too. This boy really deserve the world.
I kind of agree with both sides, but I lean towards San again because I know what it feels like to feel like you're being compared with your sibling. I would suggest the writer finds a hobby that only he is interested in without his brother and try to have accomplishments or at least develop a sense of self apart from each other for a while.
Im on both siblings side because it sounds like they got along well enough before everyone in the club started constantly comparing them so i dont want to fault either brother, but i agree the writer both for his own sake and his future relationship with his brother/others needs to work on the part of himself that takes the comaprisons so hard/personally, and it may be easier for him to do that in a new environment (activity/club) that his brother is not in so he can independently establish his own identity/achievements without comparison. Thanks for the great episodes and having ATEEZ!! really enjoying this show and the 4 MC's!
I don't think the writer feels insecure when compared to others better than him, he's mostly concerned about it being his younger brother so the question of him meeting others better than is out.
it's never feel good to be compared with others but we cant really do anything with people's mouth. he can pull himself out from that situation like distancing himself or he can just choose to don't give a fck. im the type that if ppl compare me with someone i'll be like 'well good for him/her' lol
I agree with hoongjong's point and sanie's empathy but i also think the others are the problem. Not learning someone's name after seeing them week after week is crazy! They are defiantly exacerbating the situation and they need to be checked by one of the brothers. At the end of the day getting to the root of the problem- the brother's insecurity is whats most important because you can't control others and avoid important things and people to you like hoongjong said :)
I feel bad for the author and it sucks to feel that way. But your insecurities are not another person’s responsibility. It is a concern but only for the author.
i've a younger brother and i'm the one always tell 'my younger brother is more brilliant than me. i'm gonna help anyway i can to achieve his dream''. i understand we sometimes get jealous like someone may love my brother more but not to the point to remove my brother from my life. it's just bad mindset.
Unless his brother is intentionally trying to isolate him it’s his inferiority complex that he needs to deal with - find a club where you can make better friends or find hobbies that help him meet more people. You only have your family to count on - it doesn’t make sense to push his brother away bc of others feelings and actions.
I think the writer should try to focus on their personality instead of other. Don't compare yourself with others bcoz everyone is unique. Let's say even if you decide to change yourself to impress others, you'll still won't be happy. I'm sure there must be some people who'll accept you for who you're, you don't need to care about the people who don't care about you. Also, regarding the crush thing, you can simply tell her that you can't help if that makes you uncomfortable. It's better to avoid that situation. If she forces you too much, then tell her the reason that she was your crush, being honest is much better whether it's with yourself or others. Also, you're not a bad guy to think that way, we're humans and we tend to get jealous & insecure sometimes. It's okay, what matters is how we deal with it. Fighting!!💪🏼
Also jong it is easy for you to say it is on the brothers confidence when you were the popular kid at your club!!! ?(just joking, I know you have a big heart..but some of us are born normal and some like you are born super stars ❤)
agree with Hongjoong here cause like… you’re going to run into people that are better than you always so if you react to another situation the same way, then you’re trapped in the same cycle and it’s your responsibility to break that cycle. I want to side with the writer, but only because of the crush thing. If that's taken out, then I think the writer shouldn't really feel inferior to their brother, because they are always going to be people way better than us. And I'll feel more comfortable if my sibling is that person, cuz there isn't much to be jealous about really
I choose to talk to my brother about us being compared. and maybe it's a matter of self-confidence. because wherever you are there will always be someone better or worse than you. if you only focus on looking up but care about looking down, just wait for the time you will fall. it's all about mindset
I would like to give my opinion about the inferiority complex case actually (even tho no one cares), I personally also think it is an issue that the writer has to work on ! Why be jealous of your siblings when you can actually be proud that these people are part of your family ? Moreover, the younger brother is not mean and instead tries to held his older brother out so it is really sweet of him ! Also, the writer might be able to actually find some good friends that won't like him because of his brother's personality ! About the crush, I can understand why he is jealous and sad ; however, he can't in anyway force the girl's feelings and it's gonna be okay because he will get over it and find someone else ! Just to say that this guy can trust his younger brother and he has his own qualities and people can see them, so don't be jealous of your younger brother (who looks up to you since you raised him and all) and be proud of who he actually is !
They're not considering the complexity of being compared to your own sibling that you grew up together with, and the writer also took care of that sibling for a very long time. It's different from being compared to a stranger that you don't know much about. I feel bad for the writer. But if you're already feeling this way, it is better to start slowly separating your life with your brother's.
i think personally the writer needs to work on themselves so they stop feeling inferior to others bcz just bcz someone is better than u in one activity doesnt reduce ur own self worth
The writer needs to push themselves outside of their comfort zone cause I think this is all a matter of self confidence. Like people in your club still don't know your name even after a year... I understand where they are coming from but there will be times in the future like in the workplace where they'd get compared, what's are they gonna do then quit?
I’m on the side of the younger brother yet I do understand the older brother. It can be difficult to feel bested by someone who is not your peer and you don’t know how to navigate those feelings and because of that you just need someone to be like “I understand you.” At the same time, the older brother will have to confront his feelings head on because it’s not the younger brother’s fault that he’s handsome or charismatic. I think the older and younger brother should talk, and based on the small description, I think the younger brother will empathize and even though he can’t just stop being cool lol, they can maybe work it out so they’re not always everywhere at the same time and the older brother can have time to breathe and figure out himself and his relationships at school before his inferiority complex turns into a problem that hurts his younger brother and any other friends he might make who are similar to his brother.
Sani's way too empathetic and I'm afraid I'm way too different to him. To be honest, I could never be on writer's side. Like, it's not his brother's fault, he even tried to help him. The writer is just frustrated at himself, not his own brother, because he feels inferior to his brother yet his brother did nothing but being himself. I'm sorry for the writer, but if he had that crush for 6 MONTHS and did nothing to get close to that person, it's not his brother's fault. Maybe stop feeling sorry for yourself and start doing things to get what you want? I can't stand this kind of people that only complain and blame others when everything's up to themselves. 100% on Hongjoong's side here.
5:45 san kept patting the doll like its his own child the entire show its so cute😆
I agree with Hongjoong here cause like… you’re going to run into people that are better than you always so if you react to another situation the same way, then you’re trapped in the same cycle and it’s your responsibility to break that cycle. San is always empathetic and cares a lot about other's feelings.
Sanie you should have your own talk show 🥹
